Obituary of a Dawah Carrier
[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُوا مَا عَاهَدُوا اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُوا تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration” [Surat Al-Ahzab:23]

With patient and accepting hearts, Hizb ut Tahrir / in Wilayah Iraq mourns one of its Shabab, the honorable brother:

Nafea Al-Mahlawi (Abu Anas)

who passed away to the mercy of Allah on the eve of Tuesday, 28 Shawwal 1445 AH corresponding to 7 May 2024 CE.

Abu Anas, may Allah have mercy on him, was among the Shabab striving to revive the Islamic way of life by establishing the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. He was an example of hard work and diligence, seeking all that is good, preferring others over himself, until he was struck by a severe illness. He had fought it for years with patience and acceptance until his demise.

May Allah have mercy on our departed, grant him vast mercy, and admit him to His Spacious Gardens. May Allah grant his family and loved ones great reward, patience, and solace.

[إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” [Surah Al-Baqara:156].

We say nothing but what pleases our Lord: “By Allah, we are indeed saddened by your departure, O Abu Anas.”
