With respect to the anniversary of the destruction of the Islamic Khilafah (Caliphate), we address an issue at the heart of the anniversary and occasion: the issue of Islamic governance, in terms of its Shariah obligation, its constraints, and its challenges. This is especially true given that the Ummah is currently embroiled in a political, intellectual, and revolutionary movement in ash-Sham related to this very issue.

In light of the usurping Jewish entity’s aggression against our people in Gaza, the tone of media and political tensions has recently been escalating, between the Egyptian regime and the Jewish entity. The war of words is against the backdrop of what the Hebrew press has termed “Egyptian harassment” of the Camp David Accords.

Since the collapse of the criminal Assad regime in Syria, there has been much talk about the priority of building the economy and rebuilding it. This priority takes precedence over all other considerations, and Syria will not be able to flourish without rebuilding its economy and ensuring the return of its displaced citizens.

The fall of the former Syrian regime marked a turning point in the history of the Islamic Ummah. It confirmed that Allah (swt) is always with the oppressed, that Muslim revolutions are not dead, and that the project of change, championed by the Ummah's sons and daughters to revive Islam and resume conveying its risaalah (message) to the world, has not ceased.
