If the Crow is a Guide to a People, It will Lead Them to the House of Ruin!
(Translated)

After more than six months of the parliamentary speaker's position being vacant following the dismissal of the former speaker, Mohammed al-Halbousi, by a decision of the Federal Court, the Iraqi parliament held its special session to elect a new speaker on Saturday, May 18, 2024. After much back-and-forth between political blocs during this period, the candidacy was narrowed down to three members of parliament: the first, Salem Al-Issawi from the Sovereignty Alliance led by Khamis Al-Khanjar; the second, Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani from the Progress Alliance led by former parliamentary speaker Mohammed Al-Halbousi; and the third, independent MP Amer Abdul Jabbar.

Al-Issawi received 158 votes, Al-Mashhadani received 137 votes, and Amer Abdul Jabbar received three votes, with 13 invalid votes. Therefore, the issue was not resolved as none of the candidates obtained the required number of votes, which is (50+1) totaling 166 votes, according to Article 55 of the Iraqi Constitution and Article 12, Section 3 of the internal regulations of the Council of Representatives.

However, what happened was that the session turned into a cockfight arena, with fistfights and each party threatening the other. All this chaos and disgraceful behavior was for the sake of positions and personal gains. This did not surprise the Iraqi people, who have washed their hands of this ruling junta brought by the American occupier, and have become accustomed to such actions and much worse.

Yes, the American occupier was able to deceive the Ummah. Since its occupation of the country, it established its political roadmap with a rotten sectarian quota system and its ominous constitution, leaving the implementation of this system to a treacherous political clique that falsely claims to be elected by the Iraqi people. They drool over positions and gains, fighting over them as donkeys fight.

Therefore, we say: All the catastrophes of this afflicted public are caused by the system imposed by the occupier along with its mine-filled constitution. It is a constitution designed to create problems, not to solve them, and to keep the country in a whirlpool of political chaos, driven by these hired political stooges.

O Muslims, O People of Iraq: Hizb ut Tahrir, the pioneer that does not lie to its people, has long called upon you to guide you out of the confusion you are living in. It has shown you that there is no salvation for you and your suffering except by working to remove this system imposed by the occupier along with its filth that it brought with it. You must work earnestly to implement the Sharia of Allah and establish the Islamic system, which holds your salvation, honor, and elevation, under the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) upon the method of the Prophethood, as Allah (swt) said:

[لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَاباً فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ]

“We have certainly sent down to you a Book in which is your mention. Then will you not reason?” [Al-Anbiya:10]. So, what will you do? Will you respond?
