Since the outbreak of the war by the Jews on Gaza, Sinai has become a center point of conflict. It has turned into a place of both ambitions and concerns. Cairo announces that its military presence east of the Suez Canal is to protect its national security and prevent terrorism and smuggling. On the other hand, ‘Israel’ sees this as a threat to the security annex of the Camp David Agreement. However, a closer look at the situation shows that all of these movements are actually within the framework of the Camp David Agreement, under its limits, and coordinated with ‘Israel’, as the Egyptian government states through its officials and media. In this way, the Egyptian army has shifted from being a force meant to fight the Jewish entity, and liberate the land, to a force that guards Egypt’s borders and helps enforce the blockade on Gaza.
When the Camp David Agreement was signed in 1979, Sinai was divided into security zones, that determined the type and size of the forces in each area. Since then, Egypt has repeatedly confirmed that it is committed to the agreement, both in letter and spirit. Any military build-up in Sinai is done in coordination with the Jewish entity, and under the supervision of multinational forces. Even when Egypt deploys tanks or defense systems, it quickly announces that this is coordinated, and doesn’t violate the essence of the agreement.
This commitment is not just a formality; it is a fixed political reality. It makes Egypt appear to the Jewish entity as a “safe neighbor,” ensuring stable borders. In fact, Tel Aviv knows very well that what are called “Egyptian reinforcements” are within allowed limits, and they are practically directed not against the Jewish entity, but against the people of Sinai and Gaza. What really worries the Jewish entity is the potential instability in Egypt due to ongoing economic crises, and the possibility of sincere saviors from within the Ummah rising up, which could pose a threat to the West and the Jewish entity. Therefore, supporting the Egyptian regime and its leadership is a matter of survival for the Jews.
Cairo claims that its actions east of the Suez Canal are merely a defense of its borders from terrorism and smuggling. However, any observer knows that the real threat the authorities is Gaza, and nothing else. The crossings are besieged, the tunnels are closed, the separation wall has been built, and buffer zones have been established along the border with the Gaza Strip. All this is done under the pretext of preventing smuggling, while in reality, it is merely suffocating and starving the people of Gaza.
Sinai has turned into an open battlefield against its own people, with displacement, killings, and frequent arrests. The constant excuse is “fighting terrorism”! But the reality is, this policy serves the interests of the Jewish entity. It protects the southern borders of the Jewish entity and ensures its security. Just as the head of the Egyptian regime said that he won’t allow Sinai to be a base for attacks on the occupying Jewish entity, which proves that the real goal of the Egyptian government is the security and protection of the Jewish entity.
Meanwhile, Sinai should have been a base for the armies of the Arab world to liberate all of Palestine. The occupying Jewish entity knows that Sinai is its most dangerous strategic depth. If Sinai were freed from the restrictions of the Camp David agreement and became a base for the Egyptian army, with a loyal army, the presence of the Jewish entity in Palestine would no longer be secure. That’s why the Jewish entity watches every move in Sinai carefully and gets alarmed whenever a tank moves or a missile defense system is deployed. They want Sinai to remain free of heavy weapons, so that their army remains superior and the Egyptian army is kept weak.
But the real problem isn’t just the ambitions of the Jewish entity. It’s also the Egyptian regime, which follows exactly what the enemy wants. They justify this under the slogan of Egypt’s national security! However, to them, national security means the security of the Jewish entity first, even if the price is the blood of Gaza and Sinai together.
What is happening in Sinai today is just one chapter in the Egyptian regime’s submissiveness to the West and the Jews. Cairo raises the slogan of national security, while in reality, it is guarding the borders of the Ummah’s enemy and participating in the siege of our people in Gaza. The enemy is becoming increasingly bold in its ambitions because it believes that the regimes are protecting it, rather than fighting it. It is self-evident and a Shariah obligation that there is no security for Egypt without the security of Palestine, and no stability for Sinai unless it is a base for Jihad and liberation (tahrir), not a barracks protecting the enemy.
Camp David is a shackle that must be broken, and the Egyptian army must return to its Shariah obligation, supporting Muslims and raising the Word of Allah (swt) as the Highest, not protecting a Jewish usurping entity. Allah (swt) said,
[وَإِنِ اسْتَنصَرُوكُمْ فِي الدِّينِ فَعَلَيْكُمُ النَّصْر]
“And if they seek your help for the sake of Deen, then you must help.” [TMQ Surah Al-Anfal 72]. This verse alone is sufficient to clarify the Islamic Shariah ruling, so how much more so when those seeking help are the people of Gaza under bombardment and siege?
O Soldiers of Egypt al-Kinanah: You are not merely individuals in a military formation. You are part of the Ummah of Muhammad (saw). You are a vanguard that must mobilize, a sword that must be drawn, and a support that must rise to aid the oppressed in Gaza and all of Palestine. Your brothers and sisters there are being slaughtered, besieged, and annihilated, and you are closer to them than any army, and more capable of breaking the shackles, if you wish. So do not be deceived by the orders that bind your hands, and don't follow the doctrine of fighting that has no true spirit. The true aqeedah (doctrine) of fighting is that which emanates from the Noble Quran. These armies in Islam were not created to protect regimes, nor to guard agreements of humiliation. Instead, they were formed to protect the Ummah, carry the risaalah (message) of Islam to the world, defend the lands of Muslims, and terrorize their enemy.
O Soldiers of Egypt al-Kinanah: Isn’t it time for you to stand up for your Deen, your people, and your brothers and sisters who are being killed and destroyed in front of your eyes? Open your eyes to the truth... Who is using you to guard a usurping Jewish entity that occupies the land of Islam? Who is making you secure its borders? Who is preventing you from supporting Gaza? Who is ordering you to remain silent about the massacres? Who is depriving you of performing a Shariah obligation that Allah (swt) has imposed upon you? It is the regime that coordinates with the enemy, remains silent about the killing, and even participates in the siege of your people in Palestine. You are capable of breaking this equation, turning the tables, and supporting your brothers and sisters. It is enough for you to take action, to mobilize for Allah (swt), to make Allah's Pleasure the highest priority, not America’s pleasure or the Zionist alliance. It is enough for you to say: We will not betray, we will not remain silent, we will not remain guards at the crossings of humiliation, the treaty of shame, and the nationalist borders of colonialism. Let Sa’d ibn Abi Waqqas and Khalid ibn al-Walid, the Drawn Sword of Allah, may Allah be pleased with them, be your role models, not the commanders of coups and the Camp David Accords. Let your weapons be a trust around your necks, raised only against the enemy of Allah (swt) and the enemy of the Ummah.
Today, Gaza calls out to you, is there anyone who will answer? Today, Al-Quds and Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa cry out to you, is there anyone who will help? The Ummah awaits from you a stance that history will record with pride, not shame.
O Soldiers of Egypt al-Kinanah, your time has come. Either you become men of change, makers of victory, and bearers of the Rayah banner of Islam, or history will record you in the pages of disgraceful failure. O Allah, guide us, O Allah, bear witness that we conveyed.
