No Amount of Laws will Change the Harm of Liberal Capitalist Thinking

On the 19th of February, the BBC reported that a 31-year-old woman was charged in Australia for assaulting two Muslim women at a shopping centre in Melbourne.

The woman from Pascoe Vale suburb will attend a court hearing where it will be alleged that she targeted the two victims because of their head coverings. The attacker grabbed and choked a 30-year-old pregnant Muslim woman, pushing and slapping another 26-year-old woman in a separate assault 10 minutes later.

This comes two weeks after the country passed tough new laws against hate crimes following a recent increase in anti-Jewish attacks.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese on Wednesday condemned the incident as "reprehensible". He rejected criticism that his government was taking Islamophobic attacks less seriously compared to antisemitic attacks. He made the following comment: "I take all attacks on people on the basis of their faith seriously, and they should all face the full force of the law," he told reporters.

The Australian Federation of Islamic Councils, Rateb Jneid, expressed alarm over attacks on Muslims in the country and called the government's response "grossly insufficient”.

Australia's government has described new laws passed in early February as the "toughest laws Australia has ever had against hate crimes”. It imposes mandatory jail terms ranging from one to six years for the use of hate symbols such as the Nazi salute.

Comment:

No amount of laws will change the fact that there is an ideological battle between Islam and capitalism.

These laws are a fake attempt to promote women's rights and are nothing more than an illusion to give a feeling that Muslim women have representation under liberal democratic policies. The truth is that we will only ever have representation under anything than the Khilafah (Caliphate), as this is the only system that values all women as women in the way that Allah (swt) ordered.

It's important to recognise that Muslim figures are used as tools to convince other Muslims that non-Islamic policies and agendas are legitimate. These people have betrayed the course of law and his messenger and should not be followed as an example of leadership. Not only have the internal leadership fail the external leadership globally has left Muslim women completely abandoned in their suffering and abuse globally. These incidents are allowed to take place openly and brazenly because it is understood that there is no authority that can advocate or save women, from their status as outsiders who must be eliminated.

Integration is never the intention, it's compromise and Muslim women abandoning their identity. That is why they create situations where women cannot walk in the streets or live securely. Fear and control of their identity are crucial to suppress the idea that they could be an alternative to the corrupt and evil systems that prevail the world at the moment. Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw) are the only protectors of Muslim women but this should be under the system of his authority to apply this in reality.

You must never be distracted by these, shallow alternatives to actually implementing the Quran and Sunnah in its correct political form of an Islamic State.

[وَٱعْتَصِمُوا۟ بِحَبْلِ ٱللَّهِ جَمِيعًۭا وَلَا تَفَرَّقُوا۟ ۚ وَٱذْكُرُوا۟ نِعْمَتَ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ إِذْ كُنتُمْ أَعْدَآءًۭ فَأَلَّفَ بَيْنَ قُلُوبِكُمْ فَأَصْبَحْتُم بِنِعْمَتِهِۦٓ إِخْوَٰنًۭا وَكُنتُمْ عَلَىٰ شَفَا حُفْرَةٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلنَّارِ فَأَنقَذَكُم مِّنْهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ]

“And hold firmly together to the rope of Allah1 and do not be divided. Remember Allah’s favour upon you when you were enemies, then He united your hearts, so you—by His grace—became brothers. And you were at the brink of a fiery pit and He saved you from it. This is how Allah makes His revelations clear to you, so that you may be ˹rightly˺ guided.” [Aali-Imran: 103].
