The Deceitful “Arab Group” Rejects Trump’s Plan for Voluntary Ethnic Cleansing, but Leaves the Door Wide Open for the Zionist Entity to Intensify its Campaign to Collapse Gaza Upon its Noble People?

Tareq Al Banai, the chairperson of the Arab Group, said on February 14^th, 2025 at a news conference in the UN headquarters in New York: "The displacement of Palestinians in Gaza must be unequivocally rejected. The Arab Group categorically rejects such displacement, which constitutes a clear violation of Article 49 of the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949".

Comment:

The recent proposal by the so-called Arab Group to reconstruct Gaza without displacing its residents has been hailed by some as push-back against Trump in stark contrast to the humiliating capitulation of Jordan’s king Abdullah. However, it appears, upon closer examination, to be a strategic obfuscation. This initiative ostensibly aims to counter U.S. President Donald Trump's genocidal plan to "clean out" Gaza by relocating its Palestinian population to neighboring countries such as Egypt and Jordan—a move widely condemned as ethnic cleansing. However, given the prevailing sentiments among ‘Israeli’ politicians and the unwavering support from the U.S., the Arab Group's proposal serves as a facade, masking the treacherous reality that Arab rulers have actually give tacit support for the destruction of Gaza that aims at the displacement of its people one way or another: either as Trump promised, in front of the shame-faced King Abdullah, or by default after the face-saving statement of the Arab Group that rejected permanent transfer and spoke of rebuilding Gaza while doing nothing to stop its destruction.

‘Israeli’ political discourse has increasingly entertained the notion of resettling Gaza's Palestinian population elsewhere. Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich has been particularly vocal, suggesting that ‘Israel’ should occupy Gaza and encourage half of its 2.2 million residents to emigrate within two years. He stated, "‘Israel’ should occupy Gaza and 'encourage' half of the Strip’s 2.2 million Palestinians to emigrate within two years."  Similarly, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir has advocated for the promotion of "voluntary emigration" of Palestinians from Gaza, implying a systematic effort to depopulate the area. Smotrich taking comfort from the Arab Group whose only pretense at bravery was to offer to throw some money at Gaza after its destruction is over said the following day: “The process of emigration from Gaza will begin in the coming weeks. Gazans will have nothing to look for in Gaza in the next 10-15 years. After we return to fighting and all of Gaza looks like Jabalia — they will have nothing to look for there at all.”

While Arab leaders speak of reconstruction, and some make bold claims about refusing to accept Trump’s plan of ethnically cleansing Gaza permanently they absolutely support the Zionist entity. Despite knowing that the US administration has given a green light for the Zionist entity to continue its destructive onslaught after the current ceasefire ends, and the rhetoric of its murderous regime to secure final victory and the resumption of supplying the most massive bombs to enable air force to do this, Arab leaders continue to speak of the future of Gaza beginning without Hamas. In this respect they are in complete unison with the Jewish entity. When one thinks more about it, the only difference between Trump’s ugly plan of making a “Riviera on Gaza” without the Gazans differs only from that of the Arab Group in the Trump offers no practical means of getting Gazans out of Gaza, while the Arab Group will sit and watch a fresh onslaught by the Jewish entity so destructive that ethnic cleansing becomes the next pragmatic solution.

By focusing on reconstruction without addressing the underlying political and military realities, the Arab Group offers no solution and no hope except for the people of Gaza except to wait for the Zionist entity to intensify its destruction. When the Islamic Ummah and its bravest sons recognize this conspiracy, and the century long carnival of deceit by these treacherous puppet rulers their end will come and Islamic history will resume its march into a new future.
