Obituary of a Dawah Carrier

[وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُمْ بِشَيْءٍ مِّنَ الْخَوفْ وَالْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍ مِّنَ الأَمَوَالِ وَالأنفُسِ وَالثَّمَرَاتِ وَبَشِّرِ الصَّابِرِينَ * الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُواْ إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ]

“We will certainly test you with a touch of fear and famine and loss of property, life, and crops. Give good news to those who patiently endure” [Al-Baqara 2:155]

After being satisfied with the Qadaa of Allah (swt), Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan mourns with greater sadness the forgived one, Allah willing:

Mahjoub Abdel Wahab Othman (Khalifa)

Who passed away, on the island of Badien in the northern state, on the morning of the 17^th of Rajab 1445 AH corresponding to the 29^th of January 2024. We ask Allah Almighty to cover him with His vast mercy and forgiveness, and to make the highest paradise his abode and refuge.

The deceased was one of the first generation who carried the call for the resumption of Islamic life by establishing the Second Khilafah Rashidah (Rightly-Guided Caliphate) on the Method of the Prophethood in Sudan, since the 1960’s, he remained loyal to the dawah, patient and giving of what he faced for its sake.

Our sincere condolences to his family, family, and the dawah carriers,

[إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.” [Al-Baqara 2:156].
