Britain: Why Do Hindus in India Want to Ban Islamic Divorce System?

There has been a lot of hue and cry over the Islamic System of Divorce in India. The government is trying to implement Uniform Civil Code by portraying Islamic System of Divorce as barbaric, which leads to oppression of women.

There are some questions however that need to be answered – Will removing the instant divorce or triple Talaq in one sitting Solve the problem that divorced women face?

- Does a ban on triple Talaq means that problems that arise out of Talaq can be solved? Or does it mean that Talaq trigger happy men will still give Talaq's but wont give Talaq in one go but in 3 stages and this will somehow result in lesser problems for women?

A deeper study of the reality reveals that there is no correct vantage point for human beings for looking at the things he faces in life.

Instead of blaming the process of divorce and calling for its ban, it is important to analyze the causes leading to the rising cases of divorce. We need to look for the underlying causes as well as the proximate causes and the mindset that drives people to divorce their spouses.

It is also required to look at the correct method of divorce which Islam prescribes and how its viewpoint towards separation is different from any other religion.

Further it is also necessary to practically analyse how Qualified and competent the Indian courts are in taking up the cases and being able to provide justice to Muslim women?
