Press conference: Presidential Elections and their Results!

The Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia held a press conference on the presidential elections and their results entitled "Presidential Elections and their Results".

Dr. Assaad Al-Ajili, member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Tunisia, started the press conference by explaining that democratic elections are only a method adopted by the West to consolidate its intellectual and legislative system, pointing out the blatant interference of the International Monetary Fund and the European Union during the drafting of the constitution and based on this it is only a skin change of the system and not an overthrow of the system.

Then, Ustadh Abdel Raouf Amiri, head of the Political Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Tunisia, gave the second intervention, in which he stated that the “Tunisian exception” to which the political center is marketing is not a European exception is a par excellence with an American contribution. The efforts of the European missions and the American organizations in monitoring the elections in order to establish the tutelage of the colonial countries over Tunisia, in addition to the official presence of the British ambassador along with the head of the election commission.

Amiri also warned of the danger of being driven by the context of media misinformation, which exploited the results of the recent elections to suggest the existence of an exception and change in the form of the system or to overthrow it through the mechanism of democratic elections, although the system of governance is basically the Constitution and laws emanating from it, which must be changed to talk about regime change and not just changing individuals. Therefore, the people of Tunisia must complete their revolution by working with Hizb ut Tahrir to uproot the regime from the shadow of colonialism in our country and the establishment of the state of Islam on its ruins, in order to fulfill the promise of Allah and the good tidings of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) with a Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood.
