Palestine: Al-Jabari's statements after his arrest

"United upon Islam and Rejecting the Sanctification of Leaders"

Dr. Maher Al-Jabari, Member of the Media Office of the Hizb ut Tahrir in Palestine, said that we must unite and build political positions on the basis of "No God but Allah", with the pride of our Rayah without any other flags or logos. He considered that the hoisting of this Rayah is the measure for Islamic unity. Jabari questioned how the rulers of the Muslims can viciously attack us and accuse us of inciting strife when we raise the Rayah and declare the Shahadah of Islam over the flags of segregation and division. And with this Rayah we are superior over these colonists and conspirators.

These remarks came during the memorial service for the martyrs of Hebron in the Hebron Municipality Hall, where he said: “The martyrs are a new constellation to join those who preceded them, who radiate a powerful message to the Islamic Ummah that declares: ‘We took up knives after the possessors of guns and missiles have failed, and we have fortified our cities with our civilian cars when the possessors of aircrafts and tanks have failed us! Where are you, the men of medals and ranks?! Where are those who carry the guns?! Where are those who carry weapons in armies to protect Al-Aqsa and to defend the Ummah?!”

Jabari's remarks come in his first public speech after his trial by the Palestinian Authority on political charges related to the positions of Hizb ut Tahrir the carrier of the banner of Islam, who reject the Palestinian Authority’s methodology and its leadership.

Jabari said that the Islamic Ummah does not sanctify the leaders who do not uphold the leadership over doctrine and who think they are not accountable. He then questioned how they can viciously attack those who want to raise their leadership over the Ummah. Then he confirmed that the issue of Palestine is not an issue of authority or an issue of factions, rather it is the issue of a unified Ummah, which commands the outpouring of the armies to liberate Al-Aqsa Mosque and all of Palestine.
