How to Attain Taqwa (Piety)
Taqwa is to avert the Wrath of Allah (swt). Taqwa is not possible without fulfilling the commands of Allah (swt) and His Messenger (saw). It is self-deception to wait until Taqwah suddenly appears, with good deeds spontaneously arising. Piety is the fruit of Iman (Belief). Contemplating over the Signs of Allah (swt) and remembering the Day of Judgment strengthens obedience to Allah (swt). It is then inevitable to perform practical actions, seeking the pleasure of Allah (swt). So, O Muslims, let us focus upon our Iman this Ramadhan, so that we walk steadfastly in complete devotion to Allah (swt).

The Implication of Iman in the Messengers (as)
Iman in the Messengers (as) is not just Iman in the sanctity of certain beings alone. Iman in the Messengers (as) affirms that the human intellect is incapable of finding the correct treatments for the problems of life. Man needs the guidance of Revelation in the affairs of life. Any system that grants human intellect the authority to determine laws for life, directly conflicts with the basic tenets of Islam. Consider, is that not the reality of democracy?!

The Blessed Month of Ramadhan Prevents Iman from Eroding
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, إنَّ الإيمانَ لَيَخْلَقُ في جَوْفِ أحدِكُمْ كَما يَخلَقُ الثّوبُ»« "Indeed, Iman wears out in the chest of each of you, just as cloth wears out." [At-Tabarani]. The blessed month of Ramadhan is an opportunity from Allah (swt) to renew our Iman by Fasting, Qiyam ul Layl, remembering the Hereafter and contemplating on the Revelation from Allah (swt). Muslims of Taqwa (piety) hope for the Help and Support of Allah (swt). Pious Muslims are neither ready to compromise on any ruling of Islam, nor do they neglect the duty of accounting oppressive rulers.

Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil Prevents Corruption of Society
Just as Allah (swt) has made Salah, Fasting and Zakah obligatory on Muslims, He (swt) also commanded enjoining good and forbidding evil in all circumstances, regardless of the consequences. Allah (swt) said,
[وَلْتَكُنْ مِّنْكُمْ اُمَّةٌ یَّدْعُوْنَ اِلَى الْخَیْرِ وَ یَاْمُرُوْنَ بِالْمَعْرُوْفِ وَ یَنْهَوْنَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِؕ وَ اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُوْنَ]
"Let there arise from amongst you a group that enjoins the good and forbids the evil; these are the successful ones." [TMQ Surah Aali Imran 3:104]. Despite living under the dark shadow of the un-Islamic order and enduring the cultural invasion of the Kuffar for decades, enjoining the good and forbidding the evil has ensured that evil is still considered evil, whilst good is considered good, in the Muslim World, until today. And it is this command that will ultimately lead to the establishment of a state on the basis of Islam.

The Practical Method of the Islamic Da’wah
Islam has not only left man with orders such as not stealing, not consuming usury and not usurping the wealth of others. Islam also determined the practical method to ensure society adheres to all the Islamic rulings, which is the Khilafah State, that will enforce Islamic Law. Islam is neither merely a spiritual philosophy nor just a moral code. Islam is a complete code of conduct, with a specific viewpoint towards life. That is the meaning of Deen. Therefore, it is not permissible to present Islam as mere preaching for individual reform. The Dawah to Islam must be as an invitation to a Deen that Muslims are obliged to implement as a complete system and way of life, just as Salah, Fasting, Hajj and Zakah are obliged.

The Power of the Islamic ‘Aqeedah
Today, it is a source of wonder for some as to how Muslims, for centuries, achieved great victories over powerful adversaries, despite smaller numbers and less effective weapons. In fact, the power of the Islamic Aqeedah is the real secret of Muslim military power and must never be forgotten. The Kuffar had larger numbers and more powerful weapons, but they had nothing to counter the confidence, determination, courage and spirit that arises from the Islamic Aqeedah. This was the stance of the Companions (ra) against the Mushrikeen of Makkah, the Khilafah Rashidah against Rome and Persia, the Ottoman Khilafah against the Byzantines and the Afghan Muslims against the US. Today, if Muslims establish a Khilafah based on the Islamic Aqeedah, no power in the world will be able to prevent them, from becoming the world’s leading state.

Islam Alone is the Deen of Truth
Allah (swt) says, ]وَمَنْ يَبْتَغِ غَيْرَ الْإِسْلَامِ دِينًا فَلَنْ يُقْبَلَ مِنْهُ وَهُوَ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِرِينَ] "Whoever will follow any Deen other than Islam, it will not be accepted from him, and he will be among losers in the Hereafter.” [TMQ Surah Aali-Imran 3:85]. Accordingly, it is not allowed for Muslims to adopt or participate in religious festivals of the Kuffar, such as Christmas, Halloween, Holi and Diwali. However, today in some educational institutions, Muslim children are asked to participate in non-Muslim religious festivals, in the name of recognizing religions. This lowly tactic is to normalize non-Islam (Kufr) beliefs for our future generation, whereas we must decisively reject the holding of such kufr rituals and undertake the Dawah to Islam.

The Good Utilization of Health and Spare Time
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, »نِعْمَتَانِ مَغْبُونٌ فِيهِمَا كَثِيرٌ مِنَ النَّاسِ الصِّحَّةُ وَالفَرَاغُ« "There are two blessings which many people squander, health and spare time.” [Bukhari]. The believers abide by Islam in every matter. So believers take care of their health, not for quality of life in itself, but so that they can fulfill the obligations of Islam with vigor. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,
«إِذَا جَاءَ الرجل يعود مَرِيضا فَلْيقل ك اللَّهُمَّ اشْفِ عَبْدَكَ يَنْكَأُ لَكَ عَدُوًّا أَوْ يَمْشِي لَكَ إِلَى جِنَازَةٍ»
“When a man goes to visit a sick person, let him say, ‘O Allah! Heal your servant so that he may wreak havoc upon the enemy for Your Sake, or walk to the funeral prayer for Your Sake.’” [Abu Dawud, Ibn Habban]

Gratitude for the Favors of Allah (swt)
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,
«انْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْ، وَلَا تَنْظُرُوا إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ فَوْقَكُمْ، فَهُوَ أَجْدَرُ أَنْ لَا تَزْدَرُوا نِعْمَةَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ»
“Look at those who are less well-off but do not look at those who are more well-off, lest you belittle the favors Allah (swt) conferred upon you.” [Muslim]. And the Messenger of Allah (saw) said,
«إِذا نَظَر أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى مَنْ فُضِّلَ عليهِ في المالِ وَالخَلْقِ فلْيَنْظُرْ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَسْفَلُ مِنْهُ»
“If anyone of you looked at a person who was more favored in property and in looks, then he should also look at the one who is less than him.” [Bukhari].

The Youth Who Take Up the Responsibility for Islam
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,
«اغتنمْ خمسًا قبلَ خمسٍ: حياتَك قبلَ موتِك، وصحتَك قبلَ سقمِك، وفراغَك قبلَ شغلِك، وشبابَك قبلَ هرمِك، وغنَاك قبلَ فقرِك»
“Benefit of five matters, before five matters, life before death, health before sickness, free time before becoming busy, youth before old age, prosperity before poverty and life before death.” [Bayhaqi, Al-Haakim and Imam Sayuti in Al-Jaami'a as-Saghir]. Here the Prophet (saw) specifically singled out youth, although it is already a part of life before death, that is aforementioned in the Hadith. This is the age at which the youthful Companions (ra) responded to the Dawah to Islam in Makkah, taking the responsibility of the Deen on their shoulders until Islam prevailed over other religions

The Wise Prepare for Death before Its Unannounced Arrival
Allah (swt) said, وَمَا كَانَ لِنَفْسٍ أَنْ تَمُوتَ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ الله كِتَـباً مُّؤَجَّلاً“No soul can ever die except by Allah’s leave and at a term appointed.” [TMQ Surah Aali-Imran 3:145]. Death occurs at a time that is known only to Allah (swt). So how is one to be regarding an impending and unannounced arrival? The wise prepares for its arrival, whilst the feeble meets it with regret. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, الْكَيِّسُ مَنْ دَانَ نَفْسَهُ وَعَمِلَ لِمَا بَعْدَ الْمَوْتِ وَالْعَاجِزُ مَنْ أَتْبَعَ نَفْسَهُ هَوَاهَا وَتَمَنَّى عَلَى اللَّهِ“The wise one is he who disciplined himself and worked for what is after death, and the feeble one is he who followed his desires, then made (vain) prayers to Allah.” [Tirmidhi].

Take from the Short Life in the Dunya for the Everlasting Aakhira
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, وَاللَّهِ مَا الدُّنْيَا فِي الآخِرَةِ إِلاَّ مِثْلُ مَا يَجْعَلُ أَحَدُكُمْ إِصْبَعَهُ هَذِهِ فِي الْيَمِّ فَلْيَنْظُرْ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ“By Allah, this world compared to the Hereafter, is only like one of you dipping his finger in the ocean and then he should see as to what has stuck to it.” [Muslim]. So, why should we compromise an ocean for that which cannot even fill a thimble? Let us not waste time in the trivial matters that leads to our neglect in our obligations. Indeed, we must wrench time from the pursuit of Dunya, to uphold and advance our Deen.

Proclaim the Deen Openly to Ensure its Implementation
Allah (swt) said, فَاصْدَعْ بِمَا تُؤْمَرُ“Proclaim what you have been ordered.” [TMQ Surah Al- Hijr 15:94]. Thus, the Messenger of Allah (saw) conveyed Islam openly and publicly. He (saw) conveyed the Da’wah to groups as well as to individuals. He (saw) publicly opposed falsehood, corruption and error. He (saw) bore all manner of slander and injury in order that Islam became dominant in the Arabian Peninsula. He persisted until Islam prevailed and was implemented as a state. In our time of the ruling by other than Islam, it is upon each of us to proclaim Islam openly until we succeed in establishing the Khilafah.

Battle of Buwaib, 14th Ramadhan 13 AH
In the year 13 AH, the month of Ramadhan witnessed the Battle of Buwaib, led by the great commander Al-Muthanna bin Al-Haritha, in which the number of Muslims in this battle was only 8000, whilst the Persians numbered 100,000. Nevertheless, it was a great victory for the Muslims. Indeed, in this lies a lesson for those who reflect. The month of Fasting and Reciting of Qur’an is not a month of laziness and sleep. It is a month of Iman motivating the work of standing upon the Truth and defeating the enemies of the Deen.

Raising the Pious Families in the Service of Allah (swt)
Allah (swt) said, يأَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ إِنَّ مِنْ أَزْوَجِكُمْ وَأَوْلـدِكُمْ عَدُوّاً لَّكُمْ فَاحْذَرُوهُمْ “O you who believe! Verily, among your wives and your children there are enemies for you, so beware of them.” [TMQ Surah Taghabun 64:14]. Imam Mujahid (rh) declared that, “They might direct the man to sever his relations or disobey his Lord. The man, who loves his wives and children, might obey them in this case.” Let us strive to strengthen our spouses and children in their understanding of the Deen. Let us take from the examples of the spouses and children of the Prophet (saw). Let us strive so that our families are a firm support for our upholding the Truth in the current days of Falsehood.

Let the True Inheritors of the Ansaar (ra) Ensure the Unification of the Ummah
The Messenger of Allah (saw) reminded the Ansaar (ra) during Hunayn, يَا مَعْشَرَ الْأَنْصَارِ أَلَمْ أَجِدْكُمْ ضُلَّالًا فَهَدَاكُمُ اللهُ بِي، وَكُنْتُمْ مُتَفَرِّقِينَ فَأَلَّفَكُمُ اللهُ بِي، وَعَالَةً فَأَغْنَاكُمُ اللهُ بِي؟“O Ansaar! Did I not find you misguided and Allah directed you to guidance because of me? Were you not divided beforehand and Allah unified you around me? Were you not poor and Allah enriched you because of me?” [Bukhari]. Indeed, the warriors of the Ansaar (ra) granted Nussrah (Material Support) to establish Islam as a state, ending their division and poverty. In our time it is upon the warriors of our armed forces to grant Nussrah for the re-establishment of the Khilafah, which will unify and enrich the Islamic Ummah.

Battle of Badr, 17 Ramadhan 2 AH, 624 CE
Muslim narrated on the authority of ‘Umar bin al-Khattab (ra) who said, “When it was the day on which the Battle of Badr was fought, the Messenger of Allah (saw) cast a glance upon the Kaafireen, and they were three times the number of his own Companions. The Prophet (saw) turned (his face) towards the Qibla. Then he stretched his hands and began his supplication to his Lord, اللَّهُمَّ أَنْجِزْ لِي مَا وَعَدْتَنِي اللَّهُمَّ آتِ مَا وَعَدْتَنِي، اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ تُهْلِكْ هَذِهِ الْعِصَابَةَ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ لَا تُعْبَدْ فِي الْأَرْضِ“O Allah, accomplish for me what you have promised to me. O Allah, bring about what You have promised to me. O Allah, if this small band of Muslims is destroyed, You will not be worshiped on this earth.” Indeed, it is Allah (swt) who will secure victory for our armed forces, when they are launched by the Khilafah to liberate the occupied lands and open new lands for Islam.

Strive for High Rank in the Sight of Allah (swt)
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, إِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى صُوَرِكُمْ وَأَمْوَالِكُمْ وَلَكِنْ يَنْظُرُ إِلَى قُلُوبِكُمْ وَأَعْمَالِكُمْ “Verily, Allah does not look at your appearance or wealth, but he looks at your hearts and actions.” [Muslim]. The Messenger of Allah (saw) warned his Ummah about taking appearance or wealth as the standard for high rank. Islam removes the disease of striving for worldly status in the eyes of the people. It raises the ambition of the believer to pursue a high rank in the life that is never ending in Jannah.

The Pious do not Ignore the Crimes of Oppressors
Abu Bakr As-Siddique (ra) said, “O you people! You recite this Verse, يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ لاَ يَضُرُّكُم مَّن ضَلَّ إِذَا اهْتَدَيْتُمْ“O you who believe! Take care of your own selves. If you follow the right guidance, no hurt can come to you from those who are in error.” [TMQ Surah al-Maidah 5:105]. I have heard Messenger of Allah (saw) saying, إِنَّ النَّاسَ إِذَا رَأَوْا الظَّالِمَ فَلَمْ يَأْخُذُوا عَلَى يَدَيْهِ أَوْشَكَ أَنْ يَعُمَّهُمْ اللَّهُ بِعِقَابٍ مِنْهُ“When people see an oppressor but do not prevent him from (doing evil), it is likely that Allah will punish them all.” [Abu Dawood, Tirmidhi and An-Nisaa'i]. Thus, Abu Bakr As-Siddique (ra) refuted the misinterpretation of the Ayah, which was used to justify isolation and ignoring the crimes of the oppressors.

The Opening of Makkah
Ramadhan is the month in which the Messenger of Allah (saw) opened Makkah, a city whose people of authority had previously brutally persecuted the Muslims. He (saw) purified the Ka’aba of idols, whilst reciting the aayah, وَقُلْ جَاۗءَ الْحَقُّ وَزَهَقَ الْبَاطِلُ ۭ اِنَّ الْبَاطِلَ كَانَ زَهُوْقًا“And Say, “Truth has arrived and Falsehood perished, for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.” [TMQ Surah Al-Isra’a 17:81] The falsehood of the Western civilization will perish at the hands of Muslims, by the Permission of Allah (swt). We must all strive for the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the Method of Prophethood for Truth to prevail in our era.

Ruling by All that Allah (swt) Revealed
Islam today has some say in our individual matters, such as Salah and Zakah, but is excluded from our ruling, economics and foreign affairs. The ruler of Muslims is forbidden from ruling by other than Islam. Allah (swt) commanded the ruler to rule by all that He (swt) revealed. Allah (swt) says, وَأَنِ احْكُم بَيْنَهُم بِمَا أَنزَلَ اللَّهُ“And judge, [O Muhammad], between them by all that Allah has revealed.” [TMQ Surah al-Ma’ida 5:49]

The Khaleefah of Muslims Looks After Their Affairs
It is a duty for us to ensure that a Khaleefah looks after our affairs. Abu Hurayrah (ra) narrated that the Prophet (saw) said, كَانَتْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ تَسُوسُهُمُ الأَنْبِيَاءُ، كُلَّمَا هَلَكَ نَبِيٌّ خَلَفَهُ نَبِيٌّ، وَإِنَّهُ لا نَبِيَّ بَعْدِي، وَسَيَكُونُ خُلَفَاءُ فَيَكْثُرُونَ“Banu Isra'il were ruled over by the Prophets. When one Prophet died, another succeeded him; but after me there is no Prophet and there will be Khulafa'a and they will be quite large in number.” [Bukhari and Muslim]

The Khaleefah is Neither a Dictator nor a Democrat
The Khaleefah rules by neither his own personal opinion nor the consensus opinion of an assembly. He rules according to the Noble Quran and the Prophetic Sunnah. He is subject to the Law of Allah (swt) in any dispute with those he rules. Allah (swt) said, فَإِن تَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي شَيْءٍ فَرُدُّوهُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَالرَّسُولِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ “And if you disagree over anything, refer it to Allah and the Messenger, if you should believe in Allah and the Last Day.” [TMQ Surah an-Nisa’a 4:59]

Carrying the Islamic Dawah
The Companions of the Messenger of Allah (saw) paid as much attention to the Dawah of Islam as they did to following the Deen of Islam. If the Muslims of earlier times had not undertaken Dawah towards Islam, then Islam would not have reached us. Millions would not have embraced Islam and Islam would have been confined to the Messenger of Allah (saw) and his Companions (ra). Today, every Muslim must have no hesitation in becoming a leading caller to Islam.
Tuesday, 25 Ramadan 1443 AH - 26 April 2022 CE
Call towards Islam
Islam is to the call of Islam, just as water is to flow. Just as it is the flow that provides irrigation, so are resources needed to convey the goodness of Islam to the people, irrigating humanity by the reviving Islam. This flow is the Dawah to Islam by its people. When Islam is not being implemented, our Dawah must be to present Islam as a comprehensive way of life and system, so that all the affairs of the people are based on Islam. Once Islam is implemented, the Islamic State uses material resources to remove obstacles in the way of carrying the Dawah to Islam.

Changing Darul Kufr to Darul Islam
When there is no Islamic state in the Muslim Lands that implements Islamic law, the Muslim Lands become Darul Kufr. Thus, the forbidden (munkar) becomes common, whilst Haraam deeds become common. In such a case, the partial reform work becomes ineffective. A revolutionary and radical change becomes obligatory and inevitable, which uproots the false system and establishes the Islamic Khilafah.

Islam Can Only be Secured Through its Concepts
The Prophet (saw) said on the occasion of the Farewell Pilgrimage, اللَّهُمَّ هَلْ بَلَّغْتُ “Have I not conveyed, O Allah?” [Al-Bukhari]. The Dawah to the Deen is the legacy left by the Prophet for the Ummah. If we are to preserve Islam amongst ourselves, we must preserve the message of Islam and preserve Islamic thoughts and concepts in purity, not in a mixture of Eastern and Western ideologies.

Inclusion of Islamists Does Not Remove Kufr from the System
The present system and its caretakers give some status to religious people in order to cover their secular tyrannical rule. This is so that the public can be deceived by saying that if we were really on falsehood then so and so Aalim and such and such virtuous person would not have shown their acceptance for us or accepted any position in this system.

Rejecting Taghut
Muslims must strive against the rule of Taghut (authority other than Allah). How is it possible for a follower of Islam to become a part of the current system and implement Taghut himself? Allah (swt) said, أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ يَزْعُمُونَ أَنَّهُمْ آمَنُواْ بِمَا أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ وَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ يُرِيدُونَ أَن يَتَحَاكَمُواْ إِلَى الطَّاغُوتِ وَقَدْ أُمِرُواْ أَن يَكْفُرُواْ بِهِ وَيُرِيدُ الشَّيْطَانُ أَن يُضِلَّهُمْ ضَلاَلاً بَعِيداً “Have you (O Prophet) not seen those who claim they believe in what has been revealed to you and what was revealed before you? They seek the judgment of false judges (Taghut), which they were commanded to reject. And Satan (only) desires to lead them farther away.” [TMQ Surah An-Nisa 4:60].

Eid under the Shade of the Khilafah
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said, مَثَلُ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ فِي تَوَادِّهِمْ وَتَرَاحُمِهِمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهِمْ مَثَلُ الْجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ الْجَسَدِ بِالسَّهَرِ وَالْحُمَّى“The example of the believers in their mutual love, compassion and empathy is like that of a body.
