The Birth of Guidance: A Light That Dispels the Darkness of Existence
(Translated)

Al-Rayah Newspaper - Issue 563 - 03/09/2025 CE

By: Ustadh Atiyah al-Jabareen – The Blessed Land – Palestine

The planet Earth, and particularly the Arabian Peninsula, was living in total darkness that made human life resemble hell. It was darkness in the domains of creed, politics, economy, social relations, and all aspects of life. Wars crushed people for no reason, the strong existed while the weak were lost and non-existent, oppression overshadowed all areas, and slavery reached its lowest and most degrading levels.

This condition had to disappear and be dispelled, and light had to rise again to restore humanity to man, making justice and dignity fundamental to human life, which had sunk to the depths of existence. Amid this darkness, threads of light began to pierce through, and send rays of hope for a new life founded upon true servitude to the Creator of existence, and upright living under systems that bring happiness to mankind and allow him to live in the noblest and highest state.

This light began to illuminate the vast universe on the 12th of Rabi ul-Awwal in the Year of the Elephant, for on that day emerged the light that illuminated the East and West of the Earth, with the birth of Muhammad (saw). This light expanded and shone even brighter when the Earth was linked to the heavens by his being chosen (saw) as the Messenger of Allah (saw) to all of humanity.

The Messenger (saw) carried the torch of this light and walked with it to dispel all the darkness of the Earth. He (saw) revealed to people the aqeedah (creed) and true servitude that convinces the human mind, embodied in Iman in Allah (swt) Alone, worshipping Him, venerating Him, and glorifying Him alone. He (saw) lifted those who believed with him (saw), from the depths of corrupt servitude to the peak of sound servitude and pure, correct Deen. He (saw) carried to people the systems of life encompassing all aspects and relations of human existence, systems that accord with man’s innate nature, and bring him eternal happiness and the highest tranquility.

The rays of this light were then completed to wipe away the darkness when this Deen and this thought moved from a position of weakness, to a position of succession and empowerment through the nussrah (military support) of the people of Madinah for the Prophet’s (saw) Dawah, after he (saw) sought their help as people of power and protection. This nussrah resulted in the establishment of the first Islamic entity, the great universal Islamic state. Islam was now practically implemented on the ground in a state that carried the torch of its light to all mankind, to dispel the darkness of kufr and tyranny.

Thus, with the birth of the Messenger (saw), his mission, and his victory, came the rise and brilliance of the great light, the dispelling of oppression and darkness, and the ending of all forms of deviation in aqeedah, worship, and legislation. This was also a beacon and an example for us at any moment when darkness returns to the Earth as is the case today. Therefore, the light is in our hands, and we must cling to it with determination, carry it, and restore its first course of struggle and confrontation against every form of injustice, darkness, deviation, and corruption, until this light is given new victory, crowned with the reestablishment of an entity and a state of truth and justice. This state will restore to the Earth the light that has dimmed and disappeared, transforming conditions from the depths of darkness to light, mercy, tranquility, and justice.

Indeed, the birth of the Prophet (saw), his mission, and his victory to establish the Deen, were rays of a great light that illuminated the Earth. It is truly an obligation upon us to bring this light back to the Earth once again by restoring its torchbearer and spreader of brilliance— the Khilafah (Caliphate).
