Comment:
In yet another flagrant display of colonial arrogance, U.S. President Donald Trump made an appalling statement while seated beside Jordan’s King Abdullah II. He declared, “We're going to have Gaza. We don't have to buy. There's nothing to buy. We will have Gaza,”
These words lay bare the ruthless imperialist mindset that views Muslim lands as mere commodities to be seized at will. Trump’s casual dismissal of Gaza—a land that has endured relentless bombings, blockades, and genocide at the hands of the Zionist entity, fully backed by America—is a chilling admission of his colonial ambitions.
King Abdullah II of Jordan traveled to Washington, D.C., only to suffer public humiliation at Trump’s hands. With characteristic arrogance, Trump imposed his will upon the Jordanian monarch, once again proving that regional leaders are little more than instruments of Western interests—fearful of the consequences should they dare to defy them. As Allah (swt) describes,
“You see those with sickness in their hearts racing for their guardianship, saying ˹in justification˺, ‘We fear a turn of fortune will strike us.’ But perhaps Allah will bring about ˹your˺ victory or another favor by His command, and they will regret what they have hidden in their hearts.” [Al-Ma’idah: 52].
Previously, Trump remarked: "We do a lot for them, and they’re gonna do it." His words underscored the subservience of Jordan and Egypt, reducing them to mere pawns in the service of U.S. and Zionist strategy. By coercing these nations into compliance, Trump reinforced the deeply entrenched colonial mentality that continues to define America’s relationship with the Muslim world.
King Abdullah offered no resistance to Trump’s demands. Instead, he hesitated, deferred responsibility to Saudi Arabia and Egypt, and once again proved that these so-called leaders lack honor, sense, and a spine.
The war on Gaza has shaken the fragile thrones of these corrupt rulers, and Trump’s bluntness has left them with nowhere to hide and no fig leaf to conceal their disgrace. Now is the time to reject this humiliation and those who impose it upon our noble Ummah. The Ummah must rise, reject these colonial puppets, and work toward the re-establishment of the Khilafah (Caliphate) - the only system capable of truly safeguarding Muslim lands from occupation, subjugation, and humiliation.
