Western Leaders Who Talk of Peace for Syria Are Selling A Shameful Lie

Dec 16, 2024: A headline from Reuters proclaimed that “Extremism, Russia and Iran have no place in Syria’s future” quoting Kaja Kallas: the EU’s foreign policy chief, after the fall of the Assad regime.

Comment:

Syria is under EU sanctions and now that the old regime has fallen, they are using the prospect of removing these sanctions as a carrot to the new regime to place Syria at their feet. They want to humble the proud resistance fighters who liberated Syria from decades of murderous abuse and shape its future from their own capitals. They want the glorious and just Deen of Islam to be kept away from the oppressed people of Syria and instead they want their democratic slogans to blind the hearts and minds of the oppressed while their companies enter and take what they want. Furthermore, they insult Islam and call it ‘extremism’ and they who allow a woman’s body to be bought and sold and supply weapons to the Jewish entity to kill tens of thousands of women in Gaza are talking about respecting women’s rights. How brazen, how shameless they are!

Still, they talk of Russia, that many times brought death and destruction to Muslim cities inside and outside of Syria. Who are they to tell us about Russia? Their own strange war against the Russian Federation at the expense of the blood and land of the people of Ukraine is only in the failing hope of smashing it into small manageable fragments that can be stripped of resources as has been the fate of the Middle East for a hundred years. Do they want to protect the people of Syria, or do they want to sacrifice them as small chess pieces as they are doing in Ukraine?

Also, they talk of Iran that supported the butcher Bashar and helped him bloodily to thwart the revolution. Now the EU wants to talk to the new Regime in Syria about Iran, but they are silent about the Zionist Entity and its invasion of Syria which according to an Israeli Defense spokesperson “is of critical security importance to maintain” and which was backed up by the US National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan as “logical and consistent with Israel’s right to self-defense.” How hypocritical when the Zionist entity proclaims exactly what Russia proclaimed about Ukraine—that there were legitimate security concerns about NATO militarizing Russia’s border with Ukraine.

May Allah protect the good people of Syria from being enslaved by the enticements of the hypocritical West. Indeed, Allah described the likeness of those Western leaders who talk of peace and leave behind them death and enslavement.

[وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَا تُفْسِدُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ مُصْلِحُونَ أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْسِدُونَ وَلَـٰكِن لَّا يَشْعُرُونَ]

“When they are told, “Do not spread corruption in the land,” they reply, “We are only peace-makers!” Indeed, it is they who are the corruptors, but they fail to perceive it.” [TMQ 2:11-12]
