Those Who Leave the Believers and Seek Dignity, Honor and Prestige with the Disbelievers!

Türkiye: President Erdoğan posted a congratulatory message on his social media account following Trump's re-election as president, and said “I congratulate my friend Donald Trump on his re-election as President of the United States after a hard-fought presidential race.”

In his post, President Erdoğan stated: “I congratulate my friend Donald Trump on his re-election as President of the United States after a hard-fought presidential race. We hope that this new presidential term, marked by the votes of the American people, will strengthen Türkiye-USA relations and put an end to regional and global crises and wars, particularly the Palestinian issue and the Russia-Ukraine war. I believe that there will be more efforts towards creating a fairer world. I hope that these elections bring favorable outcomes to the friendly and allied American people and all of humanity.”

According to a statement released by the Presidential Communications Directorate, immediately after Erdoğan's congratulations, he had a phone call with the President-elect of the United States of America, Donald Trump. During the call, Erdoğan congratulated Trump on his re-election as the US president. President Erdoğan expressed his wish to improve cooperation between Türkiye and the United States in the new term.

It is never acceptable that Erdoğan calls America that has corrupted the earth, killed Muslims, stolen and plundered the underground and aboveground resources of the Ummah, dragged the whole world into chaos and war, Jewlover, the arch-enemy of Islam and Muslims and the spearhead of kufr, and a man who is its president ‘my friend’. This discourse is, to put it mildly, a complete mental eclipse, a great strangeness and a great humiliation!

How quickly Erdoğan has forgotten that Trump wrote an insulting letter to him during his previous presidency! In 2019, during Türkiye's operations in Syria, Trump wrote a letter to Erdoğan warning him not to be a "tough guy" or a "fool" and threatening with economic sanctions. Likewise, the arrest of Pastor Andrew Brunson in Türkiye in 2018 also affected relations between the two leaders. The Trump administration made strong demands for Brunson's release and the Turkish lira suffered a significant depreciation in the process. In addition, the US imposed a number of economic sanctions and customs tariffs on Türkiye during the Trump term. These sanctions caused serious fluctuations in the Turkish economy.

Türkiye's purchase of S-400 air defense systems from Russia at the time earned the ire of the United States and led to Türkiye's exclusion from the F-35 program. The US therefore imposed a series of sanctions on Türkiye under the Countering America's Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA) for the purchase of S-400 air defense systems from Russia. What a disgrace that Erdoğan still calls Trump his friend when it is known that the US has sent tens of trucks of arms and ammunition to the PKK/PYD, which the government has considered a terrorist organization for years!
After all that has happened, how can it be explained that Erdoğan still seeks dignity, honor and prestige with America and Trump?

[الَّذِينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِرِينَ أَوْلِيَاء مِن دُونِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَيَبْتَغُونَ عِندَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَإِنَّ العِزَّةَ لِلّهِ جَمِيعًا]

“Who choose disbelievers as allies instead of the believers. Do they seek honor and power through that company? Surely all honor and power belong to Allah.” [An-Nisa 139].
