Colonialist USA is Trying to Resurrect its Fallen Agent Dr. Yunus

News:

US’s Ex-President Barack Obama has written a letter of support for Dr Yunus, expressing his hope that the Nobel Peace Prize-winning economist can continue to do his ‘important’ work. “I have long been inspired by your efforts to empower people through offering them the means to lift their families out of poverty,” said the letter. Previously, a case was filed against Yunus under labor law and on August 20, 2023 a full bench of the Appellate Division cleared the way for the criminal case to continue against Dr. Yunus by rejecting a petition to prevent the case from proceeding. Over 170 global leaders, including more than 100 Nobel laureates also wrote a similar open letter to Prime Minister Hasina to halt the case proceedings. (Dhaka Tribune)

Comment:

The matter is not entirely a legal issue as the Hasina Government is trying to portray, nor is Dr. Yunus a man with a magic stick for the poor and destitute as Obama stated. This legal proceeding is part of a longstanding tussle between British agent Hasina and US agent Dr. Yunus; this tussle is part of the geopolitical conflict between the US and the UK over dominion and control in Bangladesh. The British Stooge Hasina always perceives Yunus as a threat to her hegemon in Bangladesh from the moment the later received the Noble Peace Prize which she believes was orchestrated by the USA to promote Yunus as a future ruler of Bangladesh. However, the US vividly failed to install Dr. Yunus in Bangladesh’s politics in 2007 and since then kept her political motives concerning the Noble laureate alive by promoting him in the international sphere in various forms. On the other hand, Hasina is trying to foil the way the USA was trying to pave for Yunus. This tussle between two political agents of the USA and the UK is nothing new and a commonplace in many Muslim lands.

The US is trying to resurrect its almost-dead horse Dr. Yunus in a serious bid of geopolitics in Asia as it is running out of agents in Bangladesh. BNP, a pro US political party, is trying to gain some ground but its leader Tarique Rahman has no wider acceptance for the post of MP. BPN chairperson and Ex. PM Khaleda Zia is serving her prison terms but the US failed to protect her from this miserable fate. In local establishments, ruling Awami League entrenched absolute control over the last decade. So, the USA doesn’t have much options beside imposing sanctions on those who actively back Hasina government and resorting to its fallen agent Yunus to pose a challenge to Hasina. The people desperately want to get rid of Hasina for the oppression and injustices she’s done and this is the prime factor the US is trying to capitalize. The question arises; will the US succeed or lose ground in Bangladesh, as it lost its ground in Myanmar due to the fall of its agent Aung San Suu Kye (interestingly, who’s a Nobel Peace Prize winner too)? Whether the US succeeds or loses its ground in Bangladesh, the Muslims living in this country will see no respite and continue to experience hardship and oppression. The only way forward is to reject and remove all agents, whether US backed or UK backed, and resume the Islamic way of the life, the Khilafah (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood. Allah (swt) says in the Glorious Quran,

[وَمَنْ أَعْرَضَ عَن ذِكْرِي فَإِنَّ لَهُ مَعِيشَةً ضَنكًا]

“But whoever turns away from following My Reminder (commandments) will certainly have a miserable life.” [Surah Ta-Ha: 124],
