Political Side Shows: Double Standard of Failed system of Democracy and its politicians

Kenya’s opposition has renewed quest for what it calls electoral justice, vowing it has not recognized President William Ruto’s regime. The opposition under Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition has hold two public rallies in Capital Nairobi. The former prime minister and veteran opposition leader Raila Odinga is amplifying calls for an independent audit of the 2022 elections and their involvement in reconstituting the electoral commission. On his side President William Ruto has rubbished Odinga’s remarks and offered to discuss development of the nation.

Comment:

It is a high stake of contradiction for opposition leader not recognizing Ruto’s regime yet his governors who won in the just concluded election via his Azimio group are seen working with the same administration. President William Ruto, too has pledged several times to contain large domestic and foreign borrowing by the government within three years to help spur economic growth yet his Government has borrowed more than Sh137 billion in three months since assuming office, recording an average monthly borrowing of Sh45.8 billion! This clearly demonstrates the double standards as the main character of Democratic political class which are expected from the followers of the failed secular capitalist ideology.

The electoral institutions within Democratic governments are not independent and credible to run the elections as their members are always under the grip of their bosses. Elections under Democratic regimes are far from being fair and transparent and how there could be free yet Democracy itself is far from truth and Justice? Furthermore, the essence of Democratic elections are none other than a big business of the few elites who decide the law and policies of their parties. It is therefore a norm of elections within democratic regimes to be marred with riggings and bribes.

The main concern for ordinary citizens is not on trade words between the opposition and the Government but the rising costs of living, public debt and pervasive corruption. Irrespective of their political stand, democratic politicians are all agents of the Capitalist system which naturally produces politicians who are used to political side shows and not improving the livelihood of citizens. The priority number one is political ego among the political divides and not interest and welfare of the citizens! Capitalism and Democracy by nature create political animosity and greed, failed politicians who are good at trading with words preaching democracy as a way to keep people in-line with their selfish needs.

The only way that will free people from the political shenanigans is application of Islamic politics which is based on the real meaning of politics i.e. the management of people's affairs. In this sense, the Islamic politicians in the Khilafah (Caliphate) government are true statesmen who have profound agendas geared to fully care the interest of people. Mixing money and politics as in the case of Democracy has no room in the electoral process of Islam, hence elections are rarely compromised. The mature Muslims, male and female have a right to vote for the Khaleefah (caliph) of their choice. Leaders who embrace the divine ideology who feel the sense of truth, justice and responsibility. It is only under Khilafah State where the political parties will play the role of holding the government accountable to ensure the leadership fulfills its responsibility and deliver to all its citizens.
