A Ruler Prioritizes the Goodness for the Nation over Interest

At a mass opening ceremony in Istanbul, President Erdogan stated regarding the Victims of Delayed Pension Age (EYT) that some are ‘stuck with the idea of early retirement.' All Scandinavian countries went bankrupt with this system. Why early retirement?

Erdogan who stated that this account is a bad, evil and harmful account, said, “We will not do it with political accounts. I tell my friends; Never encourage me to go this way. I will do anything which is in favor of my nation, and I am out of something which is harmful to my nation and country. Even if we lose the election.” (16.11.2019 News agencies)

If the rulers of a country rob the people of things they think they deserve themselves, and based this on law, one could speak of hypocrisy of the system and rulers. Rulers who make the retirement issue a part of their politics as they do for each issue during elections never abstain from ignoring their promises, words after the elections, as it is their habit. Many rulers and administrators, who retired at a very early age, are obstinate when it comes to the people and claim that this kind of a practice will affect the economy negatively. Even if it is true, the things they do contradict the things they say. President Erdogan’s claim that the Scandinavian countries went bankrupt because of early retirement clearly shows that the mind of the society is obscured with. Saying that the Scandinavian countries, whose gross national income per capita is much higher than Turkey, went bankrupt because of early retirement, is deception if not ignorance.

Of course, we're not talking about the need for retirement here. It is a truth that capitalism revokes the rights of people and oppresses them with health coverage and retirement promises by taking possession of a part of the earnings people that worked years for. But it is also inevitable that people who act with the expectation and thought of retirement make the society lazy. However, the rulers who are at the control of the system never have abstained from sacrificing people’s labor as well as the people for their positions. This situation is at the same time an indication of their perspective on the people.

That being the case; Erdogan’s statement about doing anything which is in favor of the nation and being out of something which is harmful to it is light years away from the truth. The benefit of the society in a country whose people are Muslim is the absolute implementation of the rules of Allah (swt). In a system where Allah’s laws are put aside, no benefit no advantage could be qualified as an advantage.

Especially, the fact that the rulers who are in the evils up to their throats distract the people with simple worldly interests is the biggest harm. What kind of a benefit did the rulers, who spread the interest to every sphere of life while it is strictly forbidden by Islam, and pay tens of billions of dollars to interest rate lobbies and banks each year which correspond to people’s labour, see for the society in jurisprudential and financial sense? Isn’t it harmful to people when you write off billions of TL tax debt belonging to huge companies and sports clubs, and oppress the people with markups and taxes? What kind of a benefit do the rulers, who foresee an ultra-luxury life for themselves and use every means of the state for their own interests, offer the people?

In other words, what kind of an interest is being provided to the people by the salaries they get, places they live, vehicles and workplaces they use, assigned personnel, uncountable possibilities and payments? And which interest of the people is being served by making gambling, alcohol and adultery legal while there are open texts on their prohibition, and making these infamies public under the people by levying taxes on them? Dear Erdogan, how real is it to claim that you stand by the people while these cruelties and evils are openly harmful to the people’s religion and world, and these are done by your own hands!

And what kind of a benefit did your democratic system, which is imported from the West and which is an enemy to Islam and Muslims, bring to the Muslims, that you still insist on implementing this superstitious system? And do your claims that you are friends with the kuffar while they run wild in the Muslim world and do massacres, destructions, bring good or harm to the Muslims? For sure, none of these behaviors forbidden by Allah, count for anything in the name of Haqq (Truth), no matter how big its interest is in this life.

A ruler who thinks of his people should perform its interest within Haqq by implementing the system declared by Allah as a rule, and not in a superstitious system. This is Allah’s right on His servants in earthly and ethereal sense. And the responsibility of the rulers.
The Islamic system is the only system which is competent to solve all the problems in line with the human nature.

While this is the biggest interest in ethereal sense; it also offers the biggest interest in earthly sense by guaranteeing the basic needs of all people, and being a system that encourages production, guarantees the reward of the products without having an eye on people’s labour. Do not prioritize the people, prioritize the truth, and do not prioritize interest but prioritize the goodness in the truth.
