Dawah around the World: Save the Family Campaign

Welcome to today’s episode of Dawah around the World – Save the Family.
The Women’s Section in the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir launched a global campaign entitled, “The Family: Challenges & Islamic Solutions.” – highlighting the importance of the family unit and how infact it is the bedrock of a civilization. Strong families are at the heart of strong, stable, and successful societies.
However, today there is a crisis affecting the harmony and unity of marriage and family life in communities across the world, including within the Muslim lands.
Dr Nasreen Nawaz, the Director of the Women's Section of the Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir, launched the campaign with a video press release, she explained the unfortunate truth behind a lot of the challenges faced in upsetting this important family structure.
This tragedy of family breakdown is mirrored in states across the western world.
In the UK, the divorce rate stands at 42%.
In 2012 there were 13 divorces every hour in England and Wales.
In the US 53% of marriages end in divorce, in Sweden it’s 64%, and in Belgium it’s an eye-watering 70% (figures from Business Insider).
According to Eurostat, between 1965 to 2013 the crude divorce rate doubled in the EU-28 countries.

This is just on the issue of marital breakdown - there is also the relationship with parents, extramarital relationships, single parents, high abortion rates, teenage pregnancies, balancing work and family and the list goes on.
The campaign seeks to –not only- expose the national and international agendas to secularise the Islamic family and social laws to distance Muslims further from their Deen, BUT prove how only the Islamic Khilafah system has the true ability to protect and preserve the sacredness of the family!!
The Campaign Trailer accessible on YouTube and other platforms gave a taster of what issues will be addressed in a thought provoking and well presented manner.
Through this campaign, the aim to is take this message far and wide to the Ummah on such an important topic, which is affecting our Ummah everywhere. Daily articles and posts will be uploaded on various social media platform, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram from the Women's Section of the Central Media Office.
As part of the campaign, there is also ongoing interaction with the audience and views on the different aspects of the campaign are being taken throughout. Using the Official Facebook page, “Women and Shariah” everyone is invited to send in views on posted topics. Written and video testimonials will be uploaded on the page.
The Facebook page, “Women and Shariah” is updated regularly and during the course of this campaign it has very detailed, well written and thought provoking articles written by members of the Central Media Office.

The campaign material, including professionally made videos and articles are available in English and 4 other languages -Arabic, Urdu, Turkish and Dutch - aiming to access a wide audience across the globe.
A Twitter Storm was launched on October 6, 2018 with the Hashtag #savethefamily , which is seen on the FB Pages.
The campaign will culminate with an international conference to be attended by speakers from across the world Insha’Allah. A key point to the campaign and conference will be to explain the vital role that Islamic governance under the Khilafah State (Caliphate) based upon the Prophethood plays in cultivating, promoting and protecting strong marriages and family units.May Allah SWT grant this campaign huge success in reaching to Ummah, Ameen,
