Due to the Continuation of the Conflict in Yemen, New Victims are Added to the List of Tragedies and Sorrows

On Thursday night, Ramadan 29, 1444 AH, 78 people were killed and more than a hundred were injured, including critical cases, in a school in Bab Al-Yaman in the capital, Sana'a, while distributing zakat of some merchants to the people. This horrific incident brings new victims to the list of - those who are not held accountable by the criminal international regime, the regional agent states, the professional government of Aden, or the Houthis, followers of Iran the slightest account- the victims who preceded them during the eight years of war on the two fronts, as a result of the long-term war between the Houthis on the one hand and the government of Aden on the other, which only resulted in widespread cases of need, destitution, disease and poor care for a wide range of people. This incident reveals people's mistrust of the Houthis' Zakat Authority, despite the great publicity promoted by their media and despite the opening of offices in all the directorates of their areas of control, due to its tendency to spend outside the eight categories specified in zakat, and favouritism in distribution.

Since the beginning of the establishment of the General Authority for Zakat, the Houthis have worked in various ways to monopolize the collecting of zakat from people, and this year they strictly prevented the distribution of any zakat or food baskets from other merchants in the areas under their control, monopolizing the distribution of zakat and food baskets to the Zakat Authority, which they established in May 2018, and the Houthis attributed the stampede of zakat seekers to the random distribution of it outside their General Authority for Zakat, and they arrested those who distributed food baskets outside the framework of the Zakat Authority.

Who is responsible for the occurrence of this matter and the loss of these souls? Especially since people distribute their zakat to the poor themselves, so people’s lack of trust in you and your authority is due to you because people rush to a just state that governs by the Shariah of Allah, so they do not flee from it in fear because they realize that you only spend it on your followers only. You did not learn the lesson from those who preceded you, the owners of associations fleeing in Turkey, Qatar and elsewhere, and whom people remember of their bad deeds. Mahdi Al-Mashat contented himself with offering condolences to the families of the deceased, and forming a committee to investigate the circumstances of the incident, followed by the Ministry of Interior by offering sincere condolences and sympathy to all the families of the victims, and evading responsibility for the consequences of the incident, as for the government of Aden, they are a group of agent thieves whose hands are stained with the blood of the people of this country and who are involved in all these calamities.

What is required is the application of the Islamic system, including the economic system, and not limiting it to collecting large amounts of zakat money rightly or unjustly, and spending them in the Shar’i manner. And you are incapable of that! You are like other rulers in the rest of the Muslim lands, who rule under the secular system under different names; republican, monarchical, or otherwise, and only a sovereign state that implements Islam completely and undiminished will be able to apply the rulings of Islam in all matters of life political, economical, social, foreign policy, and others.

Therefore, Hizb ut Tahrir works to establish this state the second Khilafah Rashidah (rightly-guided Caliphate) state upon the method of the Prophethood, to liberate the entire Islamic Ummah. The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«ثُمَّ تَكُونُ خِلَافَةً عَلَى مِنْهَاجِ النُّبُوَّةِ» “Then there will be a Khilafah upon the method of Prophethood”.
