Press Release
Turkish-Iranian Strategic Partnership is an American Creation and a Treacherous Pact for the Syrian Revolution
(Translated)
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani paid a visit to Turkey on the 9-10th June at the invitation of the President Abdullah Gul, during which a joint trilateral press conference was held at the presidential palace gathering the two presidents and Prime Minister Erdogan. President Rouhani addressed the Syrian file with these words: "Iran and Turkey, as two important countries in the Islamic world and regional levels; are determined to stand against extremism and terrorism. The two countries should make every effort in this matter, and to deliver the real Islam to the world." From his side, Gul said that the meetings were fruitful in which they discussed ways to prevent terrorist activity and instability in the region, and talked about their belief that the steps that will be taken based on the constructive approach will contribute to securing peace and stability in the region. Rouhani also expressed their demands to stop the fighting in Syria, expelling terrorist groups from it, and return the future of Syria to the Syrian people. He reiterated his congratulations to President al-Assad on his re-election victory. Erdogan did not give any statement about Syria.
The statements of Rouhani and Gul and the Erdogan's silence about the Syrian file at the press conference which was held in the presidential palace and the prime minister's palace, demonstrates once again the joint move in the betrayal of the Syrian revolution, and that they are pawns in the American tricks and traps that surround the Syrian revolution in order to steal it. Iran has stood against the Syrian revolution that was launched by the Muslims in Syria against the American puppet Bashar al-Assad. It betrayed the Muslims by the supply of the Baath regime openly with weapons and soldiers, and shed the blood of Muslims at the hands of the killers it sent from its party in Lebanon. As for Turkey, it has shown its hypocrisy once again. Thus, since the outbreak of the revolution in March 2011 the rulers of Turkey, who stood alongside America in its dirty plans to hijack the revolution, concealed their true faces by declaring to stand by the people and the revolution in Syria.
We in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Turkey again show the public opinion: that the rulers of Turkey and the Justice and Development Party have betrayed the Syrian revolution since its onset, where they openly provided their support for the Baathist regime throughout the first eight months of the outbreak of the Syrian revolution in order to suppress it. When the offender killer Baath party failed in the suppression of the revolution; these rulers turned into tools for the implementation of the U.S. plans to hijack the revolution. When the United States failed to transform the Syrian revolution at the hands of the democrats and secularists through Turkey; it activated the Iranian role. Now America wants a joint action between Turkey and Iran on this subject.
O Turkish rulers! Haven't you claimed your stand by the Syrian people and their revolution? Haven't you proclaimed the fall of al-Assad legitimacy? So what happened for you to accept at your prestige the greeting of Rouhani, whose hands contaminated with blood, for the criminal murderer Bashar al-Assad in his victory in the pro forma fake elections? How do you sign cooperation and war on terrorism agreement with the Iranian rulers who are shedding the blood of Muslims in Syria? O rulers of Turkey! Do you not realize that Iran is supporting the tyrant against the Syrian revolution that you claim you are with them, or are your hearts hollow?
