On the 17^th of January, the Hizb distributed press releases after Friday prayers in the Fatih Mosque in Istanbul, the Mosque of Haji Bayram in Ankara, the Sabanci Central Mosque in Adana, the Ulu Mosque in Diyarbakir, the Lala Pasha Mosque in Erzurum, and the Nour Mosque in Mersin. In addition to holding a conference attended by nearly 1,000 people in Bursa, entitled: "The Geneva II Conference is a Betrayal". Also seminars were held in Istanbul, Ankara and Van under the title "Geneva II is a Betrayal".

Additionally Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey provides all forms of support to the Islamic Syrian Revolution since its inception to the present day. It also exposed all dirty and evil plans woven by the Western countries and its other allies to the Turkish society regarding the Syrian Revolution. The Hizb also carried out numerous political activities in this regard. Finally, in the press releases distributed throughout many cities, it exposed the political background and the decisions that will be taken at the Geneva II Conference that America is preparing and seeking to introduce through the United Nations, in order to steal the Syrian Revolution. In the press releases, it also reminded the Muslims in general, the Islamic Groups in Turkey in particular, and the Islamic Groups in the countries neighboring Syria in general, of the following in regards to the Geneva II Conference: "We say that Geneva II is a betrayal and an American project that is planned to subdue the Muslims who do not bow to America."

Furthermore Geneva II is a betrayal, because it is an attempt to replace the criminal Assad regime that did not leave any area or village or family untouched, by considering it and re-awarding it legitimacy. Geneva II is a betrayal, because it is an American attempt to form an interim government made ​​up of the Assad regime and the opposition, which has become an extension of the former, and resistance groups whose deception they have managed.
