Press Release
On the Security Issue in Tunisia
(Translated)

Tunisia is living through a critical and tense situation, and this situation is intentional; done through manufacturing events and contexts in which terrorism is used to crush the will of the vulnerable and disadvantaged. Even the pure blood is employed to encroach or to remain in power. Behind this stands a brutal force that does not measure according to Halal and Haram.

The danger in this situation is that after the inability of some people to take over the country through revolution or election or popularity, and their inability to secularly take over the country, i.e. the army apparatus as a whole or the security apparatus in full, the option they were left with is the positioning and digging into the security sector specifically, to employ the site and attitude in a direction that goes against the will of the government and the state. Thus there is a project to assault the authorities at any cost, which inevitably leads ¬-and this is what is dangerous - to the differences and the collision between the sons of the apparatus itself. The security personnel are not united in their will, which caused the scramble among them for decision making, implementation and loyalties. This is the essence of chaos and its fruit is general chaos and mayhem in the street. These days we have witnessed a terrifying introduction to this, as some act in accordance with a decision that has not been administratively framed, for alleged retaliation and under the demand of "Unchain our Hands". We have heard about torture, revenge, open arrests, threats and intimidation...

The one who plans for this or engages in it - no matter how good his intentions are - works against the interest of the country and the people. He paves the ground for violence, chaos and terrorism from multiple sources, with ambiguous loyalties and a criss-cross of interests. Such that the one firing the first bullet cannot guarantee to be shooting the last bullet, God Forbid... This is the introduction to a military situation in the country or the explicit call for foreign forces, i.e. a colonial situation.

If the lust for power will lead to such a scramble which seizes security officers and despises them by luring them to wait for their sacrifice, then this constitutes two crimes instead of one: The first is the loss of the high degree of reconciliation and harmony between the security officers and the people, which they gained after the revolution. The second is the call for the return of dictatorship. Although the police repression under Ben Ali is justified by security personnel with the grip of dictatorship they were exposed to, just like the people, and that the dictator used them against their will, some want them to be the initiators and founders of a new dictatorship today. But at what time? After the revolution gave people a broad expanse of hope and opened up great outlooks. Then history will witness that they established a double dictatorship by killing this hope within people. Such dictatorial glade - as you know - has no limits to its darkness and criminality.

The security apparatus knows better than anyone else of the reality of terrorism in Tunisia, from ambiguity and the junction with the intelligence services. They know that the planners even before the implementers intended to place them into incinerators and massacres, as a lure and provocation of their dignity and the dignity of their apparatus. Would it not be rational and in accordance with a sincere covenant with Allah that the security officers aim for the head of the snake instead of being abducted by criminal politicians who will make them the victims and the accused at the same time; and simply tools in a mysterious coup project that will not succeed. Even if it were to be successful, then it would be the prelude to a matter known only to Allah!

To the security officers: Your natural place is with the Ummah and with this debilitated, weary population. You are supposed to show the highest of nobility and awareness, and not to be part of the expense of darkness and agents who consider the people as booty and you being a tool and vehicle. People are still waiting for you to expose the agents and traitors, to repel and reject them and defend this good country in its attribute as a Muslim country, instead of replacing the lowest for the one who brings goodness. And remember that soon the day will come as promised by Allah and His Messenger (saw), for us to liberate Palestine together and unite this Ummah and retrace its wealth and return to the highest degrees of honor and pride, leading this world. Know that Allah:

Loves piercing sight over suspicion
And He loves the rational mind over desires
Hence foresight is sight and wise is wisdom
Allah (swt) said:

"Oh you who have believed, do not betray Allah and the Messenger or betray your trusts while you know [the consequence]." [Al-Anfal:27]

As for your rights and securities, they are guaranteed in the great Islam, which is many times what you are given by any secular system, and this is an issue where we have a lot more details, inshaAllah.

Allah (swt) said:

"So which of the two parties has more right to security, if you should know? They who believe and do not mix their belief with injustice - those will have security, and they are [rightly] guided." [Al-An'am: 81-2]
