The Takbeer March in Support of Palestine Angers Authorities in Tunisia, Leading to the Arrest of Najm al-Din Shaibin, Member of Hizb ut Tahrir
(Translated)

Today, Friday, 14/06/2024, one of the security teams in the capital arrested the Shab Najm al-Din Shaibin in front of the Municipal Theater. This occurred after he chanted a series of slogans demanding that the armies of Muslims fulfill their legitimate duty to support Gaza and its people against the aggression of the monstrous entity of Jews. This was part of the 37th march organized by Hizb ut Tahrir this week under the title "The Takbeer March from Tunisia to Palestine."

In light of this scandalous arrest, the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia declares the following:

1. It condemns the repeated arrests of its Shabab by the security agencies, considering it a scandal on the authority's record. It also emphasizes that fabricating charges against the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir and their repeated arrests following every march in support of Gaza and its people confirms that these actions are politically motivated and intended to scare the general public away from the Hizb, in an effort to isolate it and prevent the people of Tunisia from fulfilling their duty as commanded by Allah Almighty.[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ]“O you who have believed, if you support Allah, He will support you and plant firmly your feet.” [Muhammad:7]

2. Has the call to support Gaza, the reminder of Allah’s words, and the statement of the duty imposed by Sharia to fight the Jews and support the Muslims who are being exterminated in front of the eyes and ears of the world, not to mention the complacent Muslim rulers, become a reason for the regime to arrest the faithful Shabab who cannot remain silent and must address the people of power with the message of Islam?! The authorities in Tunisia claim to stand with the people of Gaza, yet they do not stop arresting the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir who raise their voices with the truth, calling on the armies to move to stop the bloodshed in Palestine.

3. The government is warned against continuing such actions, which will lead to Allah’s wrath and punishment in this world before the Hereafter. The government is demanded to release Najm al-Din Shaibin immediately and to stop any pursuits against the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir, so they can continue their work for the benefit of Islam and Muslims. We, in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia, affirm that the arrest of our Shabab will only increase their strength upon strength and steadfastness upon steadfastness, by the will of Allah. They will not remain silent about the crimes of the brothers of monkeys and pigs and their treacherous rulers who sit on the necks of Muslims.

In conclusion, we renew the call to the people of power from the armies in the Muslim lands, saying to them:

The blood and limbs of the children, women, and men of Gaza will be a proof against the entire Islamic Ummah and those capable of supporting Gaza and its people, foremost among them the armed forces and the armies stationed in their barracks. After the Mujahideen of Gaza have proven that defeating the Jews in a resounding defeat is only a matter of will, and it is possible with just a few brigades or battalions, there is no excuse left for the officers and armies to refrain from immediate action to topple the thrones of the rulers, protectors of the entity, and march towards Gaza, Al-Aqsa, and Palestine, to support and liberate it and return it to the embrace of the Islamic Ummah.

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«مَا مِنْ امْرِئٍ يَخْذُلُ امْرَأً مُسْلِماً فِي مَوْضِعٍ تُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ حُرْمَتُهُ وَيُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ إِلَّا خَذَلَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ فِيهِ نُصْرَتَهُ، وَمَا مِنْ امْرِئٍ يَنْصُرُ مُسْلِماً فِي مَوْضِعٍ يُنْتَقَصُ فِيهِ مِنْ عِرْضِهِ وَيُنْتَهَكُ فِيهِ مِنْ حُرْمَتِهِ إِلَّا نَصَرَهُ اللهُ فِي مَوْطِنٍ يُحِبُّ نُصْرَتَهُ»

“No (Muslim) man will desert a man who is a Muslim in a place where his respect may be violated and his honour aspersed without Allah deserting him in a place here he wishes his help; and no (Muslim) man who will help a Muslim in a place where his honour may be aspersed and his respect violated without Allah helping him in a place where he wishes his help.”
