Tunisian Authorities Open Doors to America and Its Criminal Alliance

The Tunisian authorities have not only opened the doors of their sovereign ministries for the American ambassador to roam the country from north to south and traverse its lands but have now also opened their doors wide to the Deputy Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), responsible for political affairs and security policy, and the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for the South Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina. He conducted a working visit to Tunisia from September 11 to 13, 2023, during which he affirmed that Tunisia is one of the most important partners of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in the South Mediterranean region. This is due to the diversity of activities and areas of cooperation, in addition to being a key ally outside the alliance.

Where he was received by Nabil Ammar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration, and Tunisians Abroad, on the evening of Monday, September 11, 2023. Then, on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, he met with Emad Memeesh, the Minister of National Defense. Colomina affirmed his commitment to continue working to enhance this mutual cooperation to reach advanced stages beyond training, formation, and the exchange of experiences.

The matter did not stop at the ministries of foreign affairs and defense. The doors of the Carthage Palace were opened for him on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, where he met with a delegation from the Parliament, headed by Adel Dhiab, the President of the Defense and Security Committee and Armed Forces Committee, accompanied by Mariem Ben Hussein, the Deputy Head of the Middle East and North Africa Division in NATO. Colomina stated during this session that the decision to renew and support the partnership with Tunisia was made in 2022, and negotiations are ongoing to define the framework of cooperation, including a number of new projects and objectives in line with the priorities of the phase, notably countering terrorism and addressing irregular migration. Are these the priorities of the Tunisian people or the priorities of colonization and its organizations?

We, in the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Tunisia, would like to emphasize the following to the public opinion:

1. This visit represents a step in the path of targeting the North African and African Sahel regions, according to an American colonial vision that monopolizes the terrorism industry as a prelude to displacing French influence. Additionally, it rides the wave of addressing immigration issues, with NATO officially harnessing itself for this mission.

2. Opening the doors wide to a belligerent infidel who carries the banner of a colonial and criminal aggressor alliance like NATO is a heinous crime shared by the previous and subsequent rulers of Tunisia. It is a betrayal of Allah, His Messenger, and the believers. Must we wait for America to sound the drums of war before these pseudo-politicians and rulers wake up to this imminent danger? Or will they swallow the bait by bringing NATO under the pretext of addressing irregular migration? Allah Almighty said:

[وَلَن يَجْعَلَ اللهُ لِلْكَافِرِينَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ سَبِيلاً]

“and never will Allah give the disbelievers over the believers a way [to overcome them].” [Surat An-Nisa:141] and the Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«لَا تَسْتَضِيئُوا بِنَارِ الْمُشْرِكِينَ»

“Do not be so close to the Mushrikin that you can benefit from the light of their fires.”

3. Covering up the content of the military agreement previously signed with America for a duration of ten years, and the ongoing security and military coordination with the enemies of the Ummah, is a grave betrayal that undermines the very essence of sovereignty and the preservation of national security.

4. There is no way to achieve the country's security and safety except by fully restoring the authority of Islam, through the establishment of a Khilafah Rashidah (righteous Caliphate) that places sovereignty in the hands of Sharia and authority in the hands of Ummah. This will cut off the back of the colonialist Kafir (infidel), regardless of their affiliation, fulfilling the promise of Allah and the glad tidings of His Prophet (saw).
