The Authorities in Tunisia Rely on the Colonialist in order to Run a Municipality!

We, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia have warned before against the law of the local communities and the municipal elections. We said then that the law and those elections are meant to further tear the country apart and turn it into municipalities with wider powers under the so-called local government. Which will divide Tunisia into weaker areas easy for the intervention and control of the colonizer. We are now seeing a quest for decentralization under European supervision, and it is common to hear and see a mayor (head of the council) receive an American or European ambassador and hold agreements with them. In Bukarim, Tazgran and Zawyat Al-Maqayez (three small villages in the tribal homeland),they have formed a municipality for them which issued an announcement to the public on 15/04/2019 stating: "Within the framework of the municipalities in their decentralized path, the Ministry of Local Affairs and the Environment in cooperation with the European Union, it has invited the International Labour Office to accompany the newly developed municipalities to prepare the local development plan according to the participatory methodology of the municipality of Bukarim, Tazgran and Zawyat Al-Maqayez; therefore, I have the honor to invite the public to attend the workshop which will take place on 23, 24 and 25 April 2019 in Zawyat Al-Maqayez to crystallize the vision, goals and axes of municipal development”.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia denounce this invitation for the following reasons:

1- It humiliates our people in Bukarim, Tazgran and Zawyat Al-Maqayez, the mayor of the municipality and the government behind him represented by the Ministry of Local Affairs, see the people of the region as ignorant and helpless who need Europe to teach them how to live their daily lives.

2- The European Union, which they rely on is a hostile colonialist, their crimes in our country is recorded, and their ambitions are known. They only want control and looting. As for their "advice", they are all evil, we achieved nothing but misery from them and hardships. Their aid are traps intended to bring down the country. The believer is not bitten from the same whole twice.

3- The introduction of the Europeans to the cities and villages of the country is a further surrendering of Tunisia to its enemies and betrayal of its people.

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Tunisia denounce this blatant intervention of Europe, that committed crimes against Tunisia and the Muslims. We call upon all the honourable people in Bukarim, Tazgran and Zawyat Al-Maqayez, to confront this European colonial intervention in their area because it is the way to make our country under colonial mandate. We say to head of the council and the Minister of Local Affairs behind him, you have committed something atrocious, you should not have brought humiliation to yourselves and your people and subject them under the tutelage of the enemy, for the little help, which in origin is from the plundered wealth of our country, and the reception of the enemy of your Ummah, your Deen and your country, is a betrayal you deserve accountability but trial for. We remind you of the saying of Allah:

(يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَتَّخِذُوا الْيَهُودَ وَالنَّصَارَىٰ أَوْلِيَاءَ بَعْضُهُمْ أَوْلِيَاءُ بَعْضٍ وَمَن يَتَوَلَّهُم مِّنكُمْ فَإِنَّهُ مِنْهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِمِينَ)

“O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people” [Al-Ma’ida : 51]

We say to those coming from overseas: you are not welcome, you are criminals and thieves who steal the people, and do not be fooled by a handful of quasi-rulers and politicians who are power hungry, who received you and bowed to you, they do not represent the people of Tunisia who reject your visits, and refuse your poisoned aid. And know that in Tunisia we have not forgotten your crimes and we are aware of your malicious plots. We are part of the Ummah of Islam, which has rebelled to be liberate from your hegemony and uproot your influence and that of your agents. Know that the Muslims, including the people of Tunisia, are one Ummah that will not accept any thing other than Islam as an alternative and will not restrain their revolution until they establish the state of truth and justice. The Khilafah Rashida State (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, that will save the world from your evils and crimes, Allah willing, this will be soon, Allah willing, on that day we will account you.
