The Disgusting Cartoon from French Satire Newspaper Shows the West’s Moral Decline and Hatred for Muslims

It is not enough for the French satirical newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, to insult the symbols of Islam. They even mock the suffering that Muslims experience by making a cartoon about it. In Turkey and Syria, several severe earthquakes have occurred. The death toll has risen to over 6,000 and the number of injured is in the tens of thousands. Charlie Hebdo is using their right to freedom of expression to mock the suffering of our brothers and sisters in this situation.

The "satire" that Charlie Hebdo hides behind is actually a manifestation of their hatred towards Islam and Muslims. There have been several instances where our beloved Prophet Mohammed (saw) has been insulted or where Islam has been mocked. In 2007, the Danish cartoons of the Prophet (saw) were published. In 2015 and 2020, they did this again by insulting the Prophet (saw) through cartoons. This is an obvious sign of the rancor that is established in the hearts of these corrupted individuals.

Now the satirical newspaper has once again used its "right to freedom of expression," but this time to mock people in a miserable situation. The tasteless illustration shows how insensitive the West is to the horrific and miserable situation in which our Syrian and Turkish brothers and sisters find themselves. An ideology that allows such actions is ideologically bankrupt. It is a corrupted ideology.

In the cartoon, collapsed buildings were depicted with the text: "You don't even have to send tanks." In other words, the destruction of Islamic countries should take place willingly or unwillingly. Muslims must constantly suffer. And it only suits the creators of the cartoons that no tanks/costs had to be deployed here.

The so-called banners of equality, freedom, and brotherhood are literally stepping over corpses. They enjoy suffering in the Muslim world, wish it upon Muslims from ideological hatred, and even openly ridicule the suffering of thousands. We must be aware of this structural hatred towards Islam, its symbols, and its followers. We must be aware of the ideological struggle that is taking place. We must be aware that we have to choose a side. As Muslims, we can only choose one side, that of submission to Allah (swt).
