Al-Mashhad TV’s Fabrications against Hizb ut Tahrir
Emirati Malice with an English flavor, a Miserable Attempt to Distort the Hizb’s Image and Cover up the Emergence of its Project

In a cheap, provocative manner, far from any media professionalism, Al-Mashhad TV, which broadcasts from Dubai, came out on Wednesday 15/1/2025 with a report containing many blatant slanders against Hizb ut Tahrir, which it described as “extremist,” in a vicious manner that relied on blatant lies.

A report far from the slightest professionalism, in which there is falsification of facts, presented by the channel for obvious purposes desired by it and those behind it, aiming through it to create strife and incitement and distort the nature of Hizb ut Tahrir’s Da’wah and its influential activity in ash-Sham.

The false report broadcasted by the channel claimed that a group of Hizb ut Tahrir members went to the Christian-majority Al-Qassaa neighborhood in Damascus and began distributing and pasting flyers on the walls calling for the imposition of the niqab and the prohibition of smoking, and that the residents of the neighborhood clashed with them!

A failed and flimsy narrative that was contradicted by the viewers’ comments that the presenter herself read at the end of the report, which contradicted her narrative and presentation of the event. If Hizb ut Tahrir was really behind this act, it would not have hesitated to show these clips on its official accounts, which are known to all.

Although we usually do not bother ourselves with a response, we at Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Syria, in the face of this slander, seize the opportunity to confirm the following:

First: This act is not part of Hizb ut Tahrir’s approach for the change. Rather, what happened was attributed to the Hizb for a purpose that is not hidden from anyone with insight and discernment. Our cause is greater than bringing about partial change. Our cause calls for a radical change that will advance the Ummah and society and unify efforts and energies on the basis of the Islamic faith to achieve the desired change.

Second: Hizb ut Tahrir is active globally in the five continents. It is a political party whose principle is Islam. Its method of change is well known, and its goal is to resume Islamic life by establishing the ruling of Islam represented by the Khilafah (Caliphate), according to a clear, detailed methodology outlined in its books, literature, and websites.

Third: Hizb ut Tahrir has a clear vision of how to manage the affairs of the state and to handle for the affairs of the Ummah with justice, whether Muslims or non-Muslims, through a divine system and a detailed constitution consisting of 191 articles, which highlights the justice of Islam and its ability to achieve peace, happiness, security and sufficiency for all citizens, without discrimination or differentiation, all in accordance with the rules of Sharia. Whoever seeks the truth and has inquiries about the actions of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Sham and elsewhere, our doors and websites are open to all.
