On Friday, 8th Shawwal 1436 AH, 24 July 2015 your electronic page of Islammemo featured a news report entitled: “The Pentagon Announced the Death of Al-Qaeda leader Abu Khalil the Sudanese in Afghanistan”, which states: "US Defense Department, the Pentagon, announced on Friday that a senior leader in Al-Qaeda was killed, along with two other militants in a US strike that targeted him in Afghanistan. The Ministry said that the operation which took place on July 11 in Paktika province killed Abu Khalil the Sudanese; the senior Al-Qaida commander, in a statement distributed to journalists accompanying the US Defense Secretary, Ashton Carter in a visit to Iraq…,” and you published with this report the picture of Brother Ibrahim Othman Abu Khalil, the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of the Sudan.

We know that the Western media is based on lies, misinformation and falsifying facts, it is followed in that by the subordinate media in existing States of destruction in the Islamic world, but we never thought that a media outlet that attributed itself to Islam (islammemo) will follow on the misinformation, and lack of verification and gathering the facts, and would even broadcast lies and misinformation, without the professionalism to verify the news and images before the damaging publication.

The great Islam taught us how to deal with the news, Allah (swt) says:

((يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِنْ جَاءَكُمْ فَاسِقٌ بِنَبَإٍ فَتَبَيَّنُوا أَنْ تُصِيبُوا قَوْمًا بِجَهَالَةٍ فَتُصْبِحُوا عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتُمْ نَادِمِينَ))

“O you who have believed, if there comes to you a disobedient one with information, investigate lest you harm a people out of ignorance and become, over what you have done, regretful” [Al-Hujurat: 6].

We in Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah of Sudan urge you in the name of Islam to correct this news report and the photograph that you published, to be fair and to remove the damage caused by publishing the photograph of the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan that is out of context. You know who is the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in the Wilayah of Sudan and who is Hizb ut Tahrir, which seeks to resume the Islamic way of life, by the establishment of rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" on the method of Prophethood, the path followed by our Messenger (saw), which is the intellectual and political struggle, and seeking the support from the people of power and protection, and by permission of Allah(swt) the time for victory and the dawn of the rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" on the method of Prophethood has approached, so be a media outlet which will show its reality, and shows the eagerness of the Ummah for it and to be a help for those working for it to establish it like the first Khilafah "Caliphate", and not to be a mouthpiece for the hostile Western kaffir media against Islam and Muslims.

We ask Allah (swt) to guide us all to the good of the Ummah.
