A Series of Media Messages to Muslim Women(1)
O Sister, Enough Wasting Time, and Work to Resume the Islamic Way of Life so Life becomes Upright
(Translated)
Muslim women are facing significant challenges in the world today; and women in Sudan face corrupt reality that saddled her, and robbed her taste of safe and reassuring life. She became no longer aware of "which personality to embody". Is she the "trendy woman" who gasps behind work to make money? Leaving her children in the nursery from the age of two months? Where she devotes herself to play this role to cope with globalization, and a global system that dictates to her what she and her lifestyle are ought to be, and to undertake a role that is not hers in order to secure a decent living because of the miserable economic conditions. She became a distorted model for a Western woman, adopting extraneous ideas and concepts. So that the obligation of wearing Jilbab became impractical to her and mixing became necessary; required by work conditions. She comes out of her house as she pleases, and wears what she wants. She does not give any value for obedience to her husband, and raises the slogan "I'm free"; I do what I want! Yet she remains unsatisfied, and looks for something indiscernible!
On the other side, there was the one who had her share in marriage, so she stayed at home caring for her children and managing her kingdom. She is committed to the rulings of Sharia' concerning the individual, wearing the Jilbab, and attending Quran lessons. She is under violent intellectual attack like the first model because of the ideas of liberation and empowerment of women, and equality with men, that are adopted by ministries and Western-supported and UN-backed women's organizations and are sponsored by the government on the pretext that what they call for is not contrary to the Shara'. They suggest to her that by staying at home woman is oppressed; where religion and her husband persecuted her and she should "rise up" to become that ‘modern' woman. For this, they disinterred the relevant laws to prove their claims.
In both cases, women suffer from the loss of her identity and live a bleak life. Thus neither the modern woman is happy nor is the one complying with some Ahkam of the Deen! Women here are devoid of the active, practical and effective role as part of the community and as part of the Muslim Ummah as required by the Sharia'. The former is succumbed to the material reality, with secular ideas, hence lost to belong to Islam. While the second submitted to the idea of individual reform which does not affect the change of society and life. She sees that what she recites and memorize of the Holy Quran is not implemented in reality and she does not realize the way to prevent the violation of the sanctities of Allah so stands at the crossroads.
O Dignified Sister: You must take a serious stance to think about why you are in this life, and to search for the truth as fundamentally a Muslim woman. For it is through the correct thought about the universe, man and life that actions are determined and choices are defined. Therefore, you are upon clarity of the matter and not just to be an "imitator" or "marginalized". You are the mother, the wife, the daughter, the sister, the educator and the working woman; you are the creative in all fields on the basis of the Islamic Aqeedah.
My Dignified Sister: You are Muslim, so where is your Islamic personality? Where is your active role in bringing Islam back to life, so that it walks again amongst the people, providing solutions to problems? Where are your rights? What are your duties? And who sets your rights and duties? Answers to all these questions must be in Islam, which had not neglected anything, be it small or large. The only way to happiness in this life is to live it as the Creator, Allah the Almighty, wanted it for you; under the rules of Islam, which bring to you reassurance and decent life.
We in our description as Muslims must work for change, and this is our vital issue that we must spend our maximum efforts for it, and must occupy our lives and our minds with it and not get distracted away by other matters, He (swt) says:
"And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind * He will say, ‘My Lord, why have you raised me blind while I was [once] seeing?' * [Allah] will say, ‘Thus did Our signs come to you, and you forgot them; and thus will you this Day be forgotten.'" [Ta-Ha: 124-126]
The way out of this deleterious situation will only be by living under the shade of Islam under the Khilafah "Caliphate" State; by which the Islamic way of life is resumed, and the laws of Shara' are applied in societies. It creates a reality where servitude to Allah is fulfilled, so that life is not set according to "designed templates" and programmed models, and Quran actually becomes the light of our lives; both recited and applied. So welcome to Khilafah "Caliphate", a lawful way for the complete application of Islam. Welcome bliss and happiness in this world and the Hereafter. He (swt) says:
"And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, ‘This is what we were provided with before.' And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally". [Al-Baqara: 25]
