Speech by the Official Spokesperson of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah of Sudan at the Press Conference on Saturday, 22 Safar 1447 AH corresponding to 16/08/2025 CE, entitled:
"A Call to the People of Sudan... Grasp onto Darfur So It Does Not Join the South"
(Translated)

On Saturday, 26/7/2025, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) announced the formation of a parallel government to the existing government in Sudan, in the capital of South Darfur (Nyala). This step by the RSF is an advanced step in separating the Darfur region, which it controls, except for parts of the city of El Fasher, which a stifling siege has been imposed on it for more than a year, and launches successive raids on it to topple it, so that the entire Darfur region will be under its control.

O our People of Sudan:

America's process of separating Darfur began years ago. It also held the South Sudan file until it was seceded from the North. Now, it is proceeding with the same scenarios that separated the South, in order to separate Darfur. It practically began this by signing the so-called peace agreement on 14 July 2011, in which it granted the Darfur region expanded autonomy. The issue of autonomy will always be the true beginning of the process of fragmentation. Although it, i.e., America, engineered this agreement, it did not consider it a final agreement. At the time, the State Deputy Department spokesman, Mark C. Toner, stated after the signing of the agreement: “This agreement is a positive step forward on the road toward a lasting solution to the crisis in Darfur.”

What confirms that America is the one who separated South Sudan and is seeking to tear apart what remains of Sudan are the statements of Omar al-Bashir, in his interview with the Russian Sputnik Agency, published on 25/11/2017, where he said: “The issues of Darfur and South Sudan found support and backing from America, and under its pressure, South Sudan was separated,” and he added: “We now have information that the American effort is to divide Sudan into five countries,” which confirms that America is the one that separated South Sudan, and is now seeking to separate Darfur.

If it succeeds - Allah forbid - it will tear apart the rest of the regions of Sudan one by one, and it will do so to draw the borders of five countries in your country with your blood and the blood of your children, as it did before by separating the south with the blood of 2 million of your people, and as it is doing now to separate Darfur with the blood of hundreds of thousands of you. So, rise up, O people of Sudan, to thwart the plan, eradicate the agents and hypocrites, and correct the course of your lives.

O People of Sudan:

A believer is not stung twice from the same hole. We were stung from America's hole by separating South Sudan. Will we allow it to separate Darfur? Al-Bukhari and Muslim narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Prophet (saw) said:

«لَا يُلْدَغُ الْمُؤْمِنُ مِنْ جُحْرٍ وَاحِدٍ مَرَّتَيْنِ» “A believer is not stung twice from the same hole.”

No country would allow its territories to be torn apart, because in unity there is strength, and in division there is weakness and humiliation. So how can we allow this when Islam has made the issue of the unity of the ummah and the unity of its entity a vital issue, one that requires life-or-death measures? On the authority of Urfajah, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (saw) say:

«مَن أتاكُمْ وأَمْرُكُمْ جَمِيعٌ علَى رَجُلٍ واحِدٍ، يُرِيدُ أنْ يَشُقَّ عَصاكُمْ، أوْ يُفَرِّقَ جَماعَتَكُمْ، فاقْتُلُوهُ»

“Whoever comes to you while your affairs are united under one man, wanting to split your unity or divide your group, then kill him.”

O Muslims:

How can you remain silent about the fragmentation of your country and not take action, and not make the unity of your country a vital issue, as your Prophet (saw) commanded you? Whom do you obey? Will you obey America, the kaffir (disbelieving) colonialist, or your beloved Al-Mustafa (saw)? Allah (swt) says:

[وَما آتاكُمُ الرَّسُولُ فَخُذُوهُ وَما نَهاكُمْ عَنْهُ فَانْتَهُوا وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ شَدِيدُ الْعِقابِ]

“Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it. And whatever he forbids you from, leave it. And fear Allah. Surely Allah is severe in punishment” [Al-Hashr: 7]. Allah (swt) says:

[وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ وَاحْذَرُوا فَإِن تَوَلَّيْتُمْ فَاعْلَمُوا أَنَّمَا عَلَىٰ رَسُولِنَا الْبَلَاغُ الْمُبِينُ]

“Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware! But if you turn away, then know that Our Messenger’s duty is only to deliver ˹the message˺ clearly” [Al-Ma’idah: 92].

O Media Personnel:

Your mission is immense: to raise awareness of the people of the dangers of fragmentation. Make your pens and media institutions a platform for awareness, exposing the schemes of the colonial kuffar and their agents, who help them implement their conspiracies against our country and its unity. You are trustworthy in speaking the truth and standing against falsehood. Allah (swt) says:

[قُلْ جَاءَ الْحَقُّ وَمَا يُبْدِئُ الْبَاطِلُ وَمَا يُعِيدُ] “Say, “The truth has come, and falsehood will vanish, never to return” [Saba: 49].

O Politicians:

Preserving the unity of the country is your primary responsibility, as leaders, chieftains, and the leaders of the people. Your standing against the projects of fragmentation and division is the protection. Do not be helpers of the kaffir colonizer, lest he carry out his conspiracies through you. Allah (swt) says:

[وَلَا تَرْكَنُوا إِلَى الَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا فَتَمَسَّكُمُ النَّارُ وَمَا لَكُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَوْلِيَاءَ ثُمَّ لَا تُنصَرُونَ]

“And do not be inclined to the wrongdoers or you will be touched by the Fire. For then you would have no protectors other than Allah, nor would you be helped” [Hud: 113].

O Scholars, O Heirs of the Prophets:

Your responsibility to guide leaders and rulers toward truth and righteousness is great. Do not be their pawns, issuing fatwas as they please, and do not remain silent about speaking the truth, regardless of the consequences. The Prophet (saw) said: «مَنْ كَتَمَ عِلْمًا أَلْجَمَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ» “Whoever conceals knowledge, Allah will bridle him on the Day of Resurrection with a bridle of fire.” You know that forsaking the unity and integrity of the Ummah is a grave sin.

O Officers and Soldiers:

You who swore to protect the unity of your country, how can you allow it to be torn apart while you watch?! Allah will ask you about the covenant you made. Allah (swt) says:

[وَأَوْفُوا بِالْعَهْدِ إِنَّ الْعَهْدَ كَانَ مَسْئُولاً]“Honour ˹your˺ pledges, for you will surely be accountable for them” [Al-Isra: 34]. Do not allow Darfur to secede. You have forsaken South Sudan before. Lift the sin from your necks, stand up against America's plot, and mobilize the army to thwart the plan to tear your country apart.

Know that these dark calamities and the ongoing conspiracies of the colonial kuffar will find no cure except by returning to the great Islam, a creed and systems of life. This can only be achieved by establishing the Islamic State, the Khilafah (Caliphate).

This can only be achieved by granting nusrah (material support) to Hizb ut Tahrir, so that it may establish it as a Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) State on the method of the Prophethood, to eradicate with it the kuffar and unite the lands of the Muslims. Allah (swt) says:

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]

“O believers! Respond to Allah and His Messenger when he calls you to that which gives you life” [Al-Anfal: 24].
