22/5/2018, the Criminal Judge of Al-Abyad City in the State of North Kordofan issued an acquittal to the Spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan, Ibrahim Othman (Abu Khalil), 14 from the Shabab of the Hizb and Khalid Mohammed Idris, the representative of the Muslim Brotherhood in the city; in the case under Articles 69 and 77 of the Criminal Code which the security services have filed against them.

On Monday 14/5/2018, President Omar al-Bashir issued decrees instituting limited amendments to the ministerial portfolios, including the appointment of seven federal ministers, five ministers of state and eight state governors, followed by another presidential decree on Tuesday 15/05/2018 appointing a minister and two governors.
