Press Release
Islamic Injunctions Attacked because of Democracy
Government Seeks to Please its Western Masters by Burnishing its Liberal Credentials. Amendment to Khatam e Nabuwat Declaration Step in that Direction

Pakistan’s Interior Minister, Ahsan Iqbal, made a last-ditch appeal to protesters to end their sit-in protest in the Pakistan's capital, with a promise to form a committee to look into claims that Law Minister Zahid Hamid was behind the now-withdrawn controversial change into the Finality of the Prophethood declaration for electoral candidates. Terrified of being branded as those who dared to create confusions and doubt about the finality of Prophet Muhammad’s Prophethood (saw), the government is seeking to save its skin and avoid the blemish of being enemies of Islam and Muslims. As a consequence of the government’s quest to secure itself and its ministers the people of Islamabad and Rawalpindi are suffering immensely with reports of fatalities due to people being unable to reach hospitals, children unable to attend schools, employees facing difficulties in accessing offices and commuters facing torturous long hours stuck in traffic jams.

What is evident is that the change in the Khatam e Nabuwat Declaration was no clerical error. It was the government’s attempt to please its Western masters and present its liberal image to ensure West’s, especially America’s continued backing for her, especially when Pakistan faces elections next year. It is no coincidence that the attempt to change the Khatam e Nabuwat Declaration happened at the same time when the government was engaged with UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review. In its National Report submitted to the UN Human Rights Council on 17th Sep 2017 the governmental proudly counted the steps it undertook to promote human rights based on liberal Western values within Pakistan. Under subsection Rights of Minorities, the report states: “… As an example, it may be underscored that no sentence of a lower court in blasphemy laws (which are non-discriminatory) has been upheld by the higher courts and no one has been punished under these laws.” The US mission to the UN in Geneva while commenting on Pakistan’s report advised the following in its statement on 13th Nov 2017: “The United States welcomes the Pakistani delegation to the UPR Working Group and recommends that Pakistan: 1-Repeal blasphemy laws and restrictions and end their use against Ahmadi Muslims and others and grant the visit request of the UN Special Rapporteur on the Promotion and Protection of the Right to Freedom of Opinion and Expression.” This statement from the US comes when the issue of the finality of the Prophethood of Prophet Muhammad (saw) has been settled in Pakistan with those disputing the finality of Prophet Muhammad (saw) being categorically declared non-Muslims and the word Muslim is not used for them.

O Muslims of Pakistan! Doesn’t this very issue of amendment in law regarding the Khatam e Nabuwat Declaration expose to you the fallacy of the idea which grants the right to make laws to human beings? Isn’t it crystal clear now, with no room for doubt left, that democracy is an un-Islamic system and it has no “Islamic” variant? Democracy grants right of making laws to human beings instead of Allah (swt). The Kaffir colonialist introduced democracy as a system of governance in our lands after the destruction of the Khilafah state (Caliphate) and it is democracy which ensures West’s influence in our lands and ensures the implementation of Kufr laws over our heads.

It is therefore only in democracy that Muslims have to resort to protests, agitations and sit-ins to ensure that what is most sacred to them is protected at all costs. Contrary to this, in the Khilafah system the Khaleefah is bound to implement the Islamic Shariah and cannot legislate according to his own whims and desires. Furthermore the Khaleefah is the protector of the Deen, its Aqeedah and its sanctities. Today we have to resort to uncomfortable means to protect our Aqeedah in our own lands from our own Westernized elite while in the Khilafah State our Khaleefah used to protect Islam and Muslims, its Aqeedah and its sanctities even in lands outside his authority. So brothers! Strive to remove not a minister or two or this government, but democracy itself to end once and for all threats to Islam, Muslims, its Aqeedah and its sanctities. And work together with Hizb ut Tahrir to appoint the guardian of Islam and Muslims, the ruler who rules by Islam, values it more than his life and loves Allah (swt) and his Prophet (saw). Strive to appoint a Khaleefah whose mere presence will scare the enemies and their agents in our lands from any schemes and conspiracies against Islam and Muslims.

RasulAllah (saaw) said,

«وَإِنَّمَا الْإِمَامُ جُنَّةٌ يُقَاتَلُ مِنْ وَرَائِهِ وَيُتَّقَى بِهِ»

“The Imam is a shield, fighting is under his leadership and protection is by him.” (Muslim)
