Hizb ut Tahrir / Kenya is alarmed at the rate of kidnapped persons across the country. Cases recorded by Kenyan security personnel revealed that criminals were out to kidnap girls and children and then demand their families for money. Videos have surfaced online showing victims being tortured, abused and barely alive. In this regard we wish to state the following:

Kenya Railways demolished Jamia’ Mosque at Kibos area in Kisumu County along with houses that were home to dozens of families over the rehabilitation of the Nairobi- Kisumu railway line. The mosque is one of the largest and oldest worshiping centres in Kisumu built around 83 years ago.
