Obituary of a Da’wah Carrier

[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُواْ مَا عَاهَدُواْ اللهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُواْ تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration” [Surat Al-Ahzab:23]

With belief in Allah’s decree, the Media Office of Hizb utTahrir in Wilayah of Jordan mourns the passing of:

Hajj Youssef Mustafa Al-Tubasi (Abu Osama)

He passed away today, Thursday, 10/10/2024. He was one of the first-generation members of Hizb utTahrir, having joined the call to Islam in the ranks of Hizb ut Tahrir in the 1950s. He led a life filled with efforts to resume the Islamic way of life and implement the Shariah of Allah.

Despite his old age, illness, and persecution, including being imprisoned three times by oppressors, he remained steadfast in his activism and struggle, bearing the call of Islam and working to establish the Khilafah Rashidah (rightly guided Caliphate) on the method of the Prophethood. He continued this work until his time came. We ask Allah to forgive our departed brother and to grant him a place in the vastness of His Paradise alongside the prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous. What excellent companions they are.

May Allah shower our departed with vast mercy, grant him a place in His spacious Paradise, and reward his family and loved ones with patience and solace. We say nothing except what pleases Allah: to Him belongs what He gives, and to Him belongs what He takes, and everything is decreed with wisdom.

[إِنَّا للهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.”[Surat Al-Baqara:156]
