Obituary of a Dawah Carrier
From the First Generation of the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir

[مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ رِجَالٌ صَدَقُواْ مَا عَاهَدُواْ اللَّهَ عَلَيْهِ فَمِنْهُم مَّن قَضَى نَحْبَهُ
وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنتَظِرُ وَمَا بَدَّلُواْ تَبْدِيلاً]

“Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allāh. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration.” [TMQ Al-Ahzab:23]

With patient hearts only seeking the reward, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Jordan mourns with the people in Jordan and the Islamic Ummah, the dawah carrier, one of its righteous, pure and pious Shabab, and we do not commend anyone before Allah, from the first generation of Hizb ut Tahrir:

The Honourable Hajj Muhammed Musa Abdulhaleem Obaid Al-Faqeeh (Abu Jafar)

Who returned to the mercy of Allah the Almighty today, Saturday, 4 Muharram 1445 AH, corresponding to 07/22/2023, and who spent his life working to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate), carrying the call diligently, patiently, and honestly, and on the covenant, we consider him as such, despite the harm and hardship he faced.

Hajj Abu Jafar, may Allah have mercy on him, had joined Hizb ut Tahrir and carried the da’wah in its ranks, in the 1950’s, and because of that he faced many persecutions and difficulties at the hands of the security and intelligence services, especially in the 1980’s. He died as a result of a long illness that he suffered from for more than five years, which he spent in patience and only seeking the reward, at the age of 85.

We pray to Allah the Almighty to forgive him and bestow him with a great mercy upon him, and to gather him with the prophets, the truthful ones, the martyrs, and the righteous in the gardens of bliss - what honourable company. We also ask Allah (swt) to inspire his family with patience, solace, and good condolences, and we only say what Allah Almighty commanded us to do:

[الَّذِينَ إِذَا أَصَابَتْهُمْ مُصِيبَةٌ قَالُوا إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ]

“Who, when faced with a disaster, say, ‘Surely to Allah we belong and to Him we will ˹all˺ return.’” [TMQ Al-Baqarah:156].
