Muslim Youth Movement (MY Movement 2015): We Are the Leaders of the Future
Judging from the large quantity, students and young people in general are one of the elements of society who have incredible potentials. Indonesia is even predicted to experience a demographic bonus, in which the number of productive age population (aged from 15 to 64 years) is much larger if compared to the non-productive age population (aged from 0-14 years and over 65 years). Students become the main contributors of the productive population. The fate of the future of this country lies at their hands.
Ironically, today's students in Indonesia are faced with numerous problems. In terms of academic problems, crisis of confidence is rampant with the sales of answer keys before the National Exam. In terms of spiritual problems, there are students who perform irrational practices by ascribing a rival to Allah (swt) such as asking advice to the tombs before the National Exam. In terms of social relationships, there are even more problems. Forty-six percent of teens aged between 15-19 were reported to have had sexual relations. The data of National Census even showed that 48-51 percent of pregnant women are teenagers (bbkbn.go.id, August 12, 2014). These problems do not only take place in big cities, but also spread widely and systemically to remote villages. In contrast, it is the current students who will lead our country in the future. Therefore, there should be earnest efforts encouraged systematically which involve all parties to resolve these problems.
To express concern to the problems of the young generation, School Propagation Institute (LDS) of Hizb ut Tahrir Indonesia will host a major event for Indonesian Muslim teenagers entitled Muslim Youth Movement (MY Movement 2015) with the theme, "We Are the Leaders of the Future" in 43 cities across Indonesia.
Through this program, high school students or equivalent are invited to be aware of their positions, roles and responsibilities as servants of God and as the next potential generation successors who should improve their personal commitment to avoid being twisted with the problems faced by them today in order to become pious, intelligent, devoted and accomplished students who can make their parents and teachers proud. In addition, students will also be encouraged to realize that it is not enough for them just to be aware of their own piety, instead they should also have to participate in the efforts of spreading the message of Islam to turn around the adversity of the country. Hopefully, after taking part in this event the students will be smarter in leading their life, and be able to behave in accordance with the guidance of Islamic teachings. Furthermore, they are expected to be ready to contribute in the struggle to improve the future of nation and to commit to Islam as the only solution.
It's time for Students to get ready and state, "We Are the Leaders of the Future".

"You are the best nation produced [as an example] for mankind. You enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and believe in Allah." [Al-i-Imran: 110]
