Press Release
Announcement of the Launch of the Official Broadcasting of “Al-Waqiyah” Television Channel
(Translated)

The Central Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir is pleased to announce before the start of the month of Ramadhan the transition to the official broadcasting of "Al-Waqiyah” television channel, following the successful completion of the trial period with Allah’s help (swt). The channel on the evening of Friday, May 26, 2017, will stream a special broadcast covering two events: The beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan and the official launch of "Al-Waqiyah" channel. The eminent scholar Ata Bin Khalil Abu al-Rashtah, the Ameer of Hizb ut Tahrir, will deliver a speech on these two occasions. The channel will host a selection of honourable intellectuals and politicians. Also the result of the sighting of the moon of the blessed month of Ramadhan for this year, 1438 AH, will be announced.

“Al-Waqiyah” is a television channel that relies for its broadcast and media production-at this stage-on the Internet and the modern means of communication and social media to spread its message to the world in general and to Muslims in particular, Arabs and non-Arabs; keeping pace with technological developments on the one hand and being close to the general public on the other. In today's world, where the news has become an industry, the blurring of the truth as a craft, and the falsification of public opinion is a profession ... this fruit is launched to protect its viewers from slipping (in falsehood), and to clarify the truth as it is, and to draw the straight line next to the crooked lines.

“Al-Waqiyah” channel chose; "Side with the Ummah’s Ideology" as its logo to show the reality of the basis it is built on, and will remain faithful to it. “Al-Waqiyah” does not claim neutrality and then contradicts it, as is the case of most, if not all the visual, audio and print media... but it is completely bias to Islam; all of Islam and only Islam, it turns with it where it turns, this is a covenant and promise we made. Al-“Waqiyah” channel is a media shield that adopts the vital issues of the Ummah and presents them with force and boldness to contribute to the crystallization of political awareness among the Ummah's sons.

As “Al-Waqiyah” channel moves to the second stage of its broadcasting and media production, we invite all the media personnel to follow and benefit from the channel. Re-publishing of its materials is available to everyone, provided that its content is published as it is.

As we take advantage of the blessed month of Ramadan, the live interactive broadcast will be on Mondays and Thursdays of every week, in addition to the daily programs during the blessed month.

We ask Allah (swt) to accept this work from us and bless it and make it accepted in the hearts of the Ummah and make it a shining light that lights up the way for the workers to resume the Islamic way of life under the shade of the Khilafah "Caliphate" state (Caliphate) on the method of Prophethood, the glad-tiding of the slave and Messenger of Allah (saw).
