Press Release
Politics of Compromise Dictated by the Imperialists Will Make Bangladesh a Client State
Chief coordinator and spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed said in a press release issued today that the latest series of events in the political arena in Bangladesh - the dialogue process, political compromises, and the release of Sheikh Hasina etc - are dictated by the foreign disbelieving imperialists which will make the country a client state. It is well known that the imperialists, who are desperate to gain full political control over Bangladesh, were responsible for the political instability in 2006 and the government of 1/11 was a result of their plots and plans.
After taking over power the government of Fakhruddin Ahmed followed the commands of the foreign powers and carried out the anti-corruption drive, minus two formula and many other dubious political actions. However political instability continued in the last one and half years. It was in this context that the government started dialogue with the political parties after instructions from Patricia A Butenis, former US Ambassador to Bangladesh during her first ‘personal visit'. And after her second ‘personal visit', the nation witnessed release of Sheikh Hasina. Throughout this time, current US Ambassador to Bangladesh James F Moriarty has also continuously emphasized on the importance of ‘compromise'. In this connection, UK expressed hope that stability will return soon in Bangladesh, while India welcomed Sheikh Hasina's release terming it as a positive step.
Mohiuddin Ahmed said that USA, Britain and Indian imperialists are dictating the political dialogue and compromise process in Bangladesh in the same way they imposed it in Pakistan. The government of Fakhruddin Ahmed and politicians of Bangladesh are incapable of taking any step outside designs of the imperialists. The issue of the release of two leaders and ongoing political compromise are all part of the design of the imperialists. The political future of the country is being decided behind the scenes, totally ignoring the will of the people of the country. Mohiuddin Ahmed said as long as the foreign powers dominate the politics of Bangladesh, instability will continue and security of the country will remain vulnerable. Hizb ut-Tahrir urges the people to come forward to resist foreign interference and establish the KHILAFAH state.
