Without Khilafah based on the Method of Prophethood, We will be Assimilated in the Current Global Order with our Land Turning Into a Ground for Competition between US and the Region!

The Russian Defense Minister claimed at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Defense Ministers Meeting in Kazakhstan that: “The main threat to Central Asia is from extremist terrorist groups based in Afghanistan, and the United States is trying to infiltrate its agents in the region following the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021.” On the other hand, during his trip to Qatar and Pakistan, John Bass, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, intends to discuss with the officials of these two countries and other diplomatic delegations about the prospect of US support for Afghanistan and the shared regional security interests.

What is clear from the statements of the American, Russian and Chinese officials is that there is a fierce competition between the great powers over their interests in Afghanistan as each of these powers wants to turn Afghanistan into their sphere of political and security influence. Although, the US has left Afghanistan after a humiliating military defeat, but due to geo-strategic location of this land, which is close to Central Asia, South Asia and China, the US is still eyeing to regain its political and security influence in Afghanistan. And the regional trips of American diplomats are mostly for the same purpose.

On the other hand, the regional countries consider the US withdrawal from Afghanistan as a sign of weakness, seeing it as an opportunity to expand their influence in this land. They are trying to do so through economic cooperation and handing over diplomatic centers in addition to raising their security concerns, expanding their political, economic and security influence in Afghanistan.

Among this competition, what is most worrying is the fragile position and the economy-oriented foreign policy of the Afghan government – a passive policy that is dysfunctional in this era of competition between the great colonial powers. Some of the officials of current government have been making their best efforts to get closer to both the region and the West, and secure their interests and survival in the middle of this political game – an approach that is hazardous and is similar to surfing in the political pool and/ wave of others. Islam considers such a deceitful policy a non-Islamic act; and in terms of political outcome, it will ultimately lead Afghanistan either into the arms of the West or into that of the region.

Politicians and Muslim people of Afghanistan must realize that colonialism is an integral part of foreign policy of great powers. If the colonialists were kicked out of Afghanistan through a front door, they will try to enter through the back door with a new face, name and slogan, but their colonial nature will never change. If the current rulers of government want to do politics under the structure of nation-state, current international order and fractional regional system, they will be melted in these rotten structures as well as corrupt and infidel orders, leading to the fate of dozens of Islamic groups who, after winning in the field of Jihad, faced a very precarious failure in the field of politics.

Hence, the solution is to try to establish an independent sphere of political-security influence. The current rulers, instead of getting close to the West or the region, must get closer to the Muslims of the world and Islamic groups and jointly create an independent political order for all Muslims. This would be possible when we think outside the geographical prison of the nation-state called ‘Afghanistan’ and efforts and struggle must be made to establish the Khilafah (Caliphate) based on the method of Prophethood. In fact, it is the Khilafah that will have the capability to create a new world order in which Muslims will be get out of humiliation and oppression by playing an active role in global politics.

A system that will fully and comprehensively implement Islam internally, and carry the light of Islam to other nations of the world through Dawah and Jihad as its foreign policy.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اسْتَجِيبُوا لِلَّهِ وَلِلرَّسُولِ إِذَا دَعَاكُمْ لِمَا يُحْيِيكُمْ]
