Detention of Dawah Carriers of Hizb ut Tahrir for Observing Qiyam-ul-Lail on the Night of 27th of Ramadan in Takhar Province!

On the night of 27th of Ramadan, 4 Dawah Carriers of Hizb ut Tahrir were arrested by Takhar Intelligence Officials for the crime of observing Qiyam-ul-Lail (night vigil), reminding each other of Islamic concepts and delivering the Tafsir (interpretation) of the Holy Quran during prayer breaks in the Chahar Chinar Masjid of Bangi district in Takhar province.

In total, 32 Dawah Carriers of Hizb ut Tahrir have been behind cells in Takhar prison. In addition, several other Dawah carriers were arrested on the night of the 27th of Ramadan for a similar "crime of Ibadah” in Keshm district of Badakhshan province who were then released from custody after mediation by community leaders and influential elders. However, the Department of Propagation of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice of Keshm district has taken a bail bond and/or official written notice from the local elders that whenever these Dawah carriers gather in the Masjid, they should inform the authorities.

On the other hand, according to the decree issued on the occasion of Eid-ul Fitr regarding the exemption and release of those who have less than one year left in prison, the juries and judiciary officials in Takhar have released scores of thieves, bandits, adulterers, drunkards, wine sellers, and even the military dissidents of the regime who had less than one year left in their imprisonment; but they did not release the Dawah carriers of Hizb ut Tahrir who had less than six months left in their imprisonment – they are still behind bars in Takhar prison. Besides, the Intelligence and Judiciary Officials of Takhar province have been putting pressure on the Dawah carriers to pledge all their immovable property such as land, house and shop in exchange for release from prison. So that if they insist to continue their Dawah any time after the release from prison, all their assets will be subject to confiscation. In fact, such non-Islamic acts are a distinct feature of tyranny (Jabrieh systems). The authorities of the regime must realize that some officials will definitely discredit the achievements made with countless sacrifices of the Mujahideen and the Muslim people of Afghanistan with their obscene acts and indecent behavior.

It is noteworthy that such pressures will never prevent Hizb ut Tahrir and its Dawah carriers from continuing their struggle and the call for the establishment of the Khilafah. Because these Dawah carriers have made an unshakable covenant with Allah (swt) and the Messenger of Allah (saw) in undertaking this great duty (Fardh); they are not afraid of anyone’s blame; they are patient in tackling the pressures and predicament of any kind, and they rely heavily on Allah (swt).

[وَمَا لَنَا أَلاَّ نَتَوَكَّلَ عَلَى اللّهِ وَقَدْ هَدَانَا سُبُلَنَا وَلَنَصْبِرَنَّ عَلَى مَا آذَيْتُمُونَا وَعَلَى اللّهِ فَلْيَتَوَكَّلِ الْمُتَوَكِّلُونَ]

“And why should we not put our trust in Allah while He indeed has guided us our ways. And we shall certainly bear with patience all the hurt you may cause us, and in Allah (Alone) let those who trust, put their trust.”[TMQ Ibrahim:12]

We firmly believe that life is a process of Ibtela (trial, suffering and disclosure), and it has been the Sunnah and/or approach of Allah (swt) throughout history that Dawah carriers have been exposed to great difficulties and threats (Fitan). As a result of these pressures and hardships, not only the ranks of believers will be purged (Tamhees) but also the true face and/or hidden masks of different groups in the society will be revealed – helping distinguish the people who speak the truth from those of the liars. As Allah (swt) says:

[أَحَسِبَ النَّاسُ أَنْ يُتْرَكُوا أَنْ يَقُولُوا آمَنَّا وَهُمْ لاَ يُفْتَنُونَ * وَلَقَدْ فَتَنَّا الَّذِينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ فَلَيَعْلَمَنَّ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ صَدَقُوا وَلَيَعْلَممَنَّ الْكَاذِبِينَ]

“Do people think that they will be let go merely by saying: “We believe,” and that they will not be tested, for We indeed tested (with hardships and suffering) those who went before them? Allah will most certainly ascertain those who spoke the truth and those who lied.”[Al-Ankabut: 2-3]
