"Presidential System" is Another Form of the Democratic Rule and it is prohibited to defend it

The discussions about the "Presidential System", which began for the first time in the era of the former President Turgut Ozal, has been resumed again and intensively with Erdogan's arrival to the presidency of the Republic. So that, this is offered on the scene to make it formally valid by conducting constitutional amendments after the general elections which are to be held on June 7th. While the ruling party and its supporters defend the conduct of this constitutional change, the opposition parties reject it because it focuses the authority to one man.

Although this procedure is expressed as changing the "system", it is in fact not a change in the system; rather, it is a change in the style of governing. Since there will not be any change in the nature of the existing republican system, nor in the democratic and secular structure of the system, nor in any of the rules and the basic pillars of governance, all of this is absolutely not under discussion. Thus the change is only in the structure of the mechanism of implementation. Therefore it was misleading to give the impression that there will be a change in the system. Even if someone comes out of there and takes a step forward and claims that this model is an Islamic model and is a step towards restoring the Khilafah "Caliphate". Knowing that Erdogan himself, in his speech in September 2010, said, "What is the connection between the presidential system with the Khilafah "Caliphate"? Parliamentary democratic system will remain valid".

In fact, the issue is not just a change in the governance model, for the colonial powers have reached a new phase of conflict of influence and dominance over Turkey. Accordingly, the United States is working on applying the step-by-step policy to remove the English influence that is entrenched in the Turkish Republic since its founding, and has progressed with important steps in this direction throughout the reign of the ruling Justice and Development Party.

Thus, the question of the presidential system is a symbolic issue in this direction. Therefore, to say that this issue is just a personal desire concerning the former President Ozal or the current President Erdogan, or that it is an advanced step for an optimal ruling method for Turkey; this saying is false and is a fraudulent understanding. This is because the one who strongly stands behind the desire for this change is America itself. Hence we find the Member of Parliament for the Justice and Development Party, Professor Burhan Kozo, who defends the presidential system from the first day, we find him indicating this, by saying: "The parliamentary system is the cause of the headache that affects us. The yeast of this system is corrupt, for it is a rotten English system".

Therefore, the issue is focusing the dominance of the American colonizer over the country by imposing a misleading Presidential System model to replace the rotten English Parliamentary System model. The portrayal of the issue as a personal or autonomous desire, or as a private matter related to Erdogan or his Justice and Development party, or as a conflict between the ruling party and the opposition party, all of that is but a deviation from the truth.

On the other hand, this change is a step to ensure the survival of the corrupt Republican System which its political validity has expired, its bankruptcy was declared at the economic level and at the societal level, and is living its last days. It is difficult, as it can be perceived, that it will last even for a century. Rather, it is intended to give it an antidote that will bring back youth to an aged, worn out body. How far, how far! No matter how long it begged for it, this is far-off.

O Muslims!

The form of the English parliamentary system is like the American presidential system, and both are like other forms of the secular democratic rule. They are all different shapes and models for one Kufr system. Thus democracy, dictatorship, kingship and federalism are all non-Islamic systems. Knowing that Muslims believe in Islam, which they had implemented for long ages and they became in urgent need for it these days; it is a complete correct ideology, containing complete and comprehensive systems which address all issues, and that the form of government in this ideology is the Khilafah "Caliphate" system, without debate. The task incumbent upon Muslims is not to show satisfaction with the Kufr system in all its forms and different models which emanate from the Western colonial doctrine. Instead, it is to make sacrifices, whatever expensive, for the Islamic Aqeedah, defend it and its system, apply it internally and externally and work together to establish a Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashidah that will carry Islam as a message of guidance and light for all people.

And here is Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Turkey, which is not deceived by the political tricks, a dauntless defender of Islam, the Messenger of Allah and the Muslims, and whose channel do not relent, is inviting you to work with it in order to establish a Khilafah "Caliphate" which, Allah willing, will end all kinds of injustice, murder and calamities that inflict the Muslim Ummah, and will bring out the humanity from darkness into the light.

[يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا إِن تَنصُرُوا اللَّهَ يَنصُرْكُمْ وَيُثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَكُمْ]
