The Khilafah will End Democracy and its Injustice

He prolonged confrontation between the opposition and the regime intensified in the build up to a rally on 30 November 2014, bringing renewed motion to a pointless struggle. On the one hand, the government claims to stand by Democracy, which was expected as Democracy always ensures that rulers can exploit a country and its people for their personal benefit. On the other hand, the opposition says that fresh elections are required for real Democracy, even though Democracy itself guarantees nepotism, concentration of wealth in the ruling elite and VIP culture, throughout the world. And in between, politics in the country has been paralyzed, even though damaging colonialist initiatives regarding the economy, education, Afghanistan and India afflict the country and its people.

Democracy always guarantees excessive privileges for the elite in power and gross deprivation for the people. Democracy links authority with sovereignty, so those elected to power, have the right to make law according to their whims and desires. This ensures that the law-makers are able to amass immense wealth for themselves and their associates by manipulating laws in their favor. Wherever Democracy exists, small elites have changed law to ensure their private ownership of the sources of great wealth, whether it is electricity, oil, gas, minerals, large-scale industry and arms manufacture.

As for America, the global standard-bearer for Democracy and the master of Pakistan's regime, the concentration of wealth in the hands of a few under Democracy is glaringly evident. On 9 January 2014, the New York Times reported that, "The median net worth for lawmakers in the House and Senate was $1,008,767 - up 4.4 percent ... according to the analysis, conducted by the nonprofit Center for Responsive Politics, which examines the influence of money on politics in Washington." And on 4 December 2013, the US President lamented, "And the result is an economy that's become profoundly unequal, and families that are more insecure... Since 1979...our productivity is up by more than 90 percent, but the income of the typical family has increased by less than eight percent. Since 1979, our economy has more than doubled in size, but most of that growth has flowed to a fortunate few... The top 10 percent no longer takes in one-third of our income - it now takes half." It is not surprising that in the US the majority are dissatisfied with their system. The Dawn reported on 26 August 2014, "Three in four Americans are dissatisfied with the way the political system works, according to a Washington Post-ABC News poll. More than eight in 10 say they trust the government to do the right thing only some of the time, according to a Quinnipiac University poll." So if this is the state of Democracy in its homeland and leading advocate, what can Pakistan expect from Democracy, even if it continued for another seven decades, without interruption?

As for Pakistan, over whom the opposition and the government compete to rule over by Democracy, it is Democracy that is the source of its problems. Democracy itself is the reason why Pakistan is a wealthy country, with poor people, but immensely rich rulers and politicians. Over six decades, legislation has secured the private ownership of public and state properties by a small elite. A survey carried out by Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT), that was subsequently covered in many newspapers, exposed how the average total wealth of Members of Pakistan's National Assembly tripled in only six years. As for Pakistan's Provincial Assemblies, they have raised perks and privileges, salary and allowances, lifetime police security and mobile phone facility. Using democracy they make laws that are preferential for their personal business interests, in addition to securing their assets from taxation. This is how rulers and politicians are able to triple their total wealth in only six years. And in addition to securing their own wealth, some traitors are allowed by democracy to secure the interests of their foreign masters, usurping the rights of society. Through Democracy they undermine the prosperity of the country, by granting foreign ownership of Pakistan's immense energy and mineral resources, or erode the security, by opening the country to American private military and intelligence. And this is why the aware, competent, caring and sincere people stay well away from Democracy and its politics, whilst the corrupt, greedy and low in morals are attracted to Democracy, like flies to filth.

O Muslims of Pakistan!

Democracy is the cause of your dire political situation and the gross injustices against you. Above all else, your Deen compels you to reject it and abolish it. Democracy is a system that gives human-beings the choice to obey Allah (swt) or disobey Him, even though Allah (swt) has revealed,

"It is not befitting for a believing man or woman to have any choice in a matter, when it has been decided upon by Allah and His Messenger." [Surah Al-Ahzab 33:36]. Democracy assigns assemblies of men and women as sovereign, allowing them to choose laws according to their whims and desires, even though Allah (swt) said,

"And judge between them by what Allah has revealed, and do not follow their desires, and beware (O Muhammad) that they might seduce you from some of what Allah has sent down to you." [Surah Al-Maaida 5:49].

And it is Democracy that makes lords over humankind besides Allah (swt). Bayhaqi reported that Adiyy ibn Hatim, said: "I came to the Prophet wearing a cross of gold in my neck. And I heard him read from Surah Baraa'ah,

"They took the rabbis and monks as lords beside Allah" [Surah At-Tawba 9:31].

I said, "O RasulAllah, they do not worship them. He said:

«أجل ولكن يحلون لهم ما حرم الله فيستحلونه ويحرمون عليهم ما أحل الله فيحرمونه فتلك عبادتهم لهم»

"Yes, but they made Halal for them what Allah forbade and they took it as Halal and they made Haram for them what Allah made Halal and they took it as Haraam and that is how they worshipped them."

Only in the Khilafah "Caliphate" will laws be enacted according to all that Allah (swt) has revealed, decisively ending the exploitation of man by man through man-made law. And there is only one political party that can bring the change that you need and long for. So, work now with Hizb ut Tahrir in its struggle to abolish Democracy and establish the Khilafah "Caliphate".

O sincere officers within Pakistan's armed forces!

How do you accept that traitors within Pakistan's leadership exploit your immense strength and iron will to support this rotten, Kufr system of Democracy. You must reject the false call to support yet more Democracy, as it is an invitation to open kufr. Clasp your hands firmly with Hizb ut Tahrir now, remembering your brothers-in-arms who preceded you in establishing Islam as a state and a rule in Madinah, by giving the material support (Nussrah) to RasulAllah (saw), such as Saad (ra). When Sa'ad (ra) died, his mother wept and RasulAllah (saw) told her,

«ليرقأ (لينقطع) دمعك، ويذهب حزنك، فإن ابنك أول من ضحك الله له واهتز له العرش»

"Your tears would recede and your sorrow be lessened if you know that your son is the first person for whom Allah smiled and His Throne trembled." [At-Tabarani]
