The Boycotting of Muslims of One Another is Haraam

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said:

«لَا تَقَاطَعُوا، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا»

"Do not boycott each other, do not hate each other, do not contrive against each other. Be all of you brothers to each other, O Servants of Allah." As soon as Iraq occupied Kuwait, the U.S. took the initiative to freeze all the Iraqi and Kuwaiti assets that were in its possession. It also asked its allies to freeze all Iraqi and Kuwaiti assets that they possessed, and it also initiated the declaration of trade and economic boycott war against Iraq as a sanction preventing the export of its products and the Kuwaiti petroleum products, as well as preventing the delivery of arms and all goods, the consumer goods including food and medical supplies. The U.S. imposed upon Turkey and Saudi Arabia to prevent the passage of Iraqi oil from their territories and loading it from their ports, at a time it imposed upon the Security Council to make a mandatory decision, which was the first of its kind in its cruelty and severity, in which it was imposed on Iraq a trade and economic sanction, and a full boycott from all the states of the world, so that none of its products is exported, nor shall any commodity be imported to it, or any part of arms.

What was done by America was not a victory for the family of Al-Sabah nor a preservation of the family of Saud, neither was it to maintain an international law breached by Iraq, but it did so to impose its actual leadership on the whole world, and to impose the exclusivity of its leadership and policy-making after the Soviet Union receded from itself, and to take this as a way to impose its actual total hegemony in the Gulf region, and to impose its control and influence over it, to control the oil production, marketing and pricing in the Gulf.

The Western countries the Security Council have responded to America. Likewise, the majority of countries in the Muslim and the Arab world have also responded, and participated in the imposition of trade and economic sanctions on Iraq and Kuwait, so Turkey and the family of Al-Saud stopped the Iraqi oil transfer via Iraqi pipelines passing through their territories, and have also prevented loading it from their ports, they also joined Egypt and some other countries in the Muslim and Arab world in preventing the export of Iraqi and Kuwaiti products, and the import of arms or goods, including food and medical supplies from reaching the Muslims in Iraq.

The harmful effects of these trade and economic sanctions have begun to surface on the Muslims in Iraq and Kuwait, where food and medical supplies began to decrease in existence, which would have a detrimental effect on the Muslims there.

This boycott, which includes food and medical supplies, contradicts the idea of the human right to live in which America and Europe boast about defending and maintaining it in lies, hypocrisy, quackery and distortion. It is also contrary to the humanitarian point of view which they falsely claim that they are keen to achieve, it at the same time contradicts the international laws which they show to the world that they are working on maintaining them; that they differed among themselves in the Security Council on the application of this boycott, and its legitimacy or lack of according to the international law, as the thieves differ on the sharing of their theft. This is in addition to the fact that Islam forbids this boycott firmly, and considers cooperation with the Kuffar a sin and an aggression against Muslims. Therefore, the participation of Turkey, the family of Saud, Egypt and other countries in the Muslim world including the Arab world in the imposition of the trade and economic sanctions against Muslims in Iraq and Kuwait, is but a sinful action that is prohibited by Islam, considering it a conspiracy with the Kuffar against the Muslims and the Muslim countries, and a cooperation of sin and aggression against the Muslims. Allah (swt) says:

[وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَى وَلا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ]

"But help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah." [TMQ Al-Ma'idah: 2]

Islam forbids the Muslims from boycotting one another according to what was narrated by Anas bin Malik that the Prophet (saw) said: «لَا تَقَاطَعُوا، وَلَا تَدَابَرُوا، وَلَا تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلَا تَحَاسَدُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللَّهِ إِخْوَانًا» "Do not boycott each other, do not hate each other, do not contrive against each other, do not be envious of one another. Be all of you brothers to each other, O Servants of Allah."

Islam also forbids Muslims from oppressing or betraying one another, and boycotting the Muslims in Iraq is a betrayal to them, a negligence of their victory, and a form of helping the oppressor with oppressing them, while the Prophet (saw) says: «الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ وَلَا يَحْقِرُهُ» "A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he betray him, nor should he humiliate him".  The meaning of "should not betray him" is that he should not neglect helping him and giving him victory. So if a Muslim asked another Muslim to help remove the oppression away from him, then he must do so, and if a Muslim fell in distress, it becomes a must upon Muslims to help relieve him of his distress, and it is forbidden for them to leave him in distress, or to hand him over to those who would cause him distress. The Messenger (saw) says:

«لْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يُسْلِمُهُ وَمَنْ كَانَ فِي حَاجَةِ أَخِيهِ كَانَ اللَّهُ فِي حَاجَتِهِ وَمَنْ فَرَّجَ عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ كُرْبَةً فَرَّجَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ كُرْبَةً مِنْ كُرُبَاتِ يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ سَتَرَ مُسْلِمًا سَتَرَهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ»

"A Muslim is the brother of a Muslim - he does not wrong him nor does he forsake him when he is in need; whosoever is fulfilling the needs of his brother, Allah is fulfilling his needs; whosoever removes distress from a believer, Allah removes from him a distress from a distressful aspect of the Day of Resurrection; and whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults on the Day of Resurrection."

And the participation of Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Egypt and other countries in the Arab and Muslim lands in the imposing of economic and trade sanctions against Muslims in Iraq in response to America and the Security Council is a forsaking of the Muslims in Iraq and Kuwait to America and a betrayal to them, and a support for America the infidel, the enemy of the Muslims, against them, and it is an increase in their distress; and all that is a contradiction to the Hadith of the Messenger of Allah (saw) which contrasted the Muslims in their mutual affection and compassion like one body, so they must be mutual and merciful to one another, supporting each other, and helping each other, and that whatever affects one of them affects the other, as he (saw) said:

«مَثَلُ المُؤْمِنينَ في تَوَادِّهِمْ وتَرَاحُمهمْ وَتَعَاطُفِهمْ، مَثَلُ الجَسَدِ إِذَا اشْتَكَى مِنْهُ عُضْوٌ تَدَاعَى لَهُ سَائِرُ الجَسَدِ بِالسَّهَرِ والحُمَّى»

"The Believers, in their mutual love, mercy and compassion, are like one body: if one organ complained, the rest of the body develops a fever."

Therefore, it is an obligation upon all these rulers in the Arab and Muslim countries who participated in the implementation of sanctions against Muslims in Iraq to desist, and to be of help to the Muslims in Iraq and Kuwait against America and other Kufr states, not to be of service to these Kaffir states against Muslims.

Oh Muslims

Your leaders, may Allah not bless them, are tools in the hands of the Kaffir states, exploited by America, Britain and France to achieve their interests, against the interests of the Muslims, and against the Muslim lands, and even against Islam and its return to life, state and society. And there they are today being exploited by America to achieve its policies and interests in the Gulf region and the Middle East as Britain also tries to exploit them for the same reason. Thus, you must work to eliminate and eradicate them, and destroy these cartoon-like states, and the meager entities, and to establish from amongst yourselves a Khaleefah whom you give Bay'ah to implement the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Messenger (saw), to unite you under one state, under the flag of La Ilaha Illa Allah, Muhammad Rasoolullah.
