Preventing the Slaughtering of the Sacrifice (Animal) before it is Anesthetized is Preventing an Islamic Worship
(Translated)
Animal Welfare Minister Ben Weyts in the Flemish region, followed by the Minister of Animal Care in Walloon region, Carlo de Antonio, have decided the imposition of administering anesthesia to the animal before it is slaughtered in the temporary slaughterhouses. The implementation of this resolution is in the context of the Muslim community's readiness to receive Eid Al-Adha, which means that the intended decision is mainly aimed at the Muslim community and no one else.
What is strange in the matter is that the political, media and cultural circles in Belgium have supported this decision, and turned it into a test of loyalty to the secular democratic system and for the so-called integration. Some of them even stated this and said: "Every human being must be committed to the law, and so should the Muslims". Thereby bypassing all the Constitutional texts which they boast about, and they demand that Muslims abide by them, including the right to freedom of belief, freedom of worship, freedom of religion and worship, and others! Prioritizing what they believe is the right of the animal over the rights of a Muslim! And ignoring completely this religious ritual of the Muslims ... but they even consider the request to review this decision as "a declaration of war on Minister Weyts", as reported by some newspapers!
We ask this group charged with negative feelings towards Muslims: Which integration do you want, if you do not accept the rights of the Muslims that are written in your Constitution! And you do not respect the rituals of their religion and are unconcerned with their worship?! Do you think that if you have sowed thorns it will produce roses? Is it not time that you reconsider this unjust provocative policy that prevent Muslims from practicing their religious rites and worship?
We denounce this unjust decision, and stand in support of the Muslim community in this country; who were surprised by the decision and rejected it in commitment to the laws of their Deen and loyalty to one of their worships proven by the text of the Quran, Allah (swt) says:
((فَصَلِّ لِرَبِّكَ وَانْحَرْ))
"So pray to your Lord and sacrifice [to Him alone]" [Al-Kawthar: 2]
We call upon all Muslims in this country to reject this unjust decision which prevents them from exercising their right to worship.
