A delegation, from Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Sudan headed by Ustaath Nasir Ridha, Head of Central Contacts Committee, accompanied by Ustaath Abdallah Hassan and Ustaath Abdelqader, Members of the Central Contacts Committee of Hizb ut Tahrir in Wilayah Sudan, met with Doctor Ghazi Salah al-Deen – Head of Reform Now party and Head of the Strength of the Future Confederation which consists of 41 parties.

The question is regarding the goods at the end of the period (end of the Zakat year), they are the goods purchased just for the purpose of selling, but were not sold by the time of the end of the Hawl (zakat year), so how should these goods be evaluated in terms of price, is it by the purchasing price or market price? I.e. is it by the purchasing price or selling price? If it is by the purchasing price then the issue is clear, and if it is by the selling price, then are the goods evaluated at the wholesale price or individual items’ price? The goods might be stored with someone else, i.e. the agent, so will they be evaluated according to the price in the country of the one who should pay Zakat, or the price of goods in the country where the goods are? Also regarding the goods that did not sell, i.e. the goods that did not sell for many years, is Zakat obliged on them, especially since they lost their market and exchangeable price?

As part of a series highlighting the personalities of Hizb ut Tahrir who are being persecuted by the regime, we present the case of Naveed Butt.

Naveed Butt is now 47 years old, he is an engineer and married with four children. He was abducted on 11 May 2012 by security agencies and remains in abduction nearly four years later.

Dr. Musab Abu Arqub, Member of the Media Office of Hizb ut Tahrir in Palestine stressed that the Jewish entity will be defeated and eleiminated from the root once and for all if the Islamic Ummah's armies move to respond to its ego and crimes, firmly believe that the fact the Quran and the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw) in dealing with the ego of the Jews as this came in a speech delievered on behalf of a large delegation of the Shabab of Hizb ut Tahrir, martyrs Abdel Fattah al-Sharif and Ramzi Qasrawi families who executed in a grotesque criminal manner at a military checkpoint of Tel Rumeida in Hebron.
