The military coup attempt on July 15th-16th, 2016 by a group of soldiers calling themselves 'Peace in the Nation Council' has been suppressed through the operations of the Turkish armed forces and police, the soldiers surrendered and gave up their weapons. As a result of the events 161 persons died, 20 coup-supporting soldiers were killed, 1440 persons were injured.
