Question:

21/8/2011: In the Sunday issue of "The News" Pakistani newspaper quoted the statement of the Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani that the Pakistani Army is ready to help stop the political and ethnic violence in the city of Karachi, if the government requested him to do that.

What is the truth of this matter, and is there a real need for military intervention in the city to stop the violence since this is a police task and not a military mission, or is this intervention for other purposes?

Answer:

To know the reality of what has been and its motives we include:

1- Karachi is Pakistan's largest city. It has a population by some estimates of 20 million people. It is composed of several different ethnic groups such as Mohajars, Pushtuns, Balouchs, Punjabis, Sindhis, and Bengalis to name a few. The city is also home to religious minorities such as Christians, Hindus, Ismailia, Parsis, Sikhs, Bahá'ís, Jews and Buddhists... Thus, lack of state implementation of Islam in being fair with everyone increases the possibility of sectarian and religious conflict.

2- In the aftermath of the Afghan jihad against the Soviet Union's illegal occupation of Afghanistan, many Pashtun's migrated to Karachi, and settled in and around the outskirts of the city.

Also since Musharraf's compliance to support America's war in the tribal areas in 2003, and because of attacks by U.S. aircraft and Pakistani army in the tribal areas, numbers of Pashtuns and others were displaced in the city to escape from U.S. aircrafts' crimes to seek security in Karachi.

3- America's "Suspect" in the recent period that the Mujahideen in general, and the Taliban in particular, are safely moving in Karachi from which they go to Jihad.  What made America push Kayani to move against the Taliban and Al Qaeda residing in Karachi?  U.S. started this policy after the middle of last year, especially after the American announcement of the incident of Faisal Shehzad in Time Square in New York 1/5/2010. Then America put Karachi under the spotlight, United States said that Shehzad was able to move freely in the city and had been in contact with the militants. Furthermore the United States has used the recognition of the Taliban who carried out the attack on Mehran Naval Base in Karachi, in 22 / 5 / 2011 to put pressure on Kayani to take practical actions.

In 05/27/2011 Reuters quoted Clinton who visited Pakistan days after the attack saying, "This was an especially important visit because we have reached a turning point.  We look to Pakistan, to the government of Pakistan to take decisive steps in the days ahead.  Many of the leaders of the Taliban continue to live in Pakistan. Pakistan has the responsibility to help us help Afghanistan by preventing insurgents from waging war from Pakistani territory."

4- Thus, America has felt that Karachi is a problem along with the tribal areas and the borders, and where it cannot use drones in highly populated areas such as Karachi while they are free to use frones in the border areas. So the United States agreed with Kayani to deploy some of the army into Karachi in the same manner it goes after the Mujahideen in the tribal areas and borders, the Army will also help in tracking down militants in Karachi.

5- To instill media justification for the intervention of the army, they moved their henchmen into Karachi to provoke violence between the various races in Karachi leaving many dead and wounded including the destruction of vital interests. Al Jazeera Net quoted the security and health sources in Pakistan in 18 /8/2011, "That more than 39 people were killed and more than forty others were wounded during the 24 hours in the new wave of violence that hit the southern port city of Karachi, Pakistan, which was in the form of a guerrilla war, but police said that the incident has a political dimension.. "

6- All of this is to create a new situation. The people in Karachi will implore the army to intervene in restoring law and order. The United States offered to help in the city of Karachi to combat lawlessness. On August 9, 2011; the Interior Minister of Sindh, Manzoor Wassan met with the U.S. Consul General William Martin and said that the U.S.  had offered equipment and other expertise to overcome the situation in the city.

7- Some politicians have been deceived in this deception, local politicians demanded that the army must intervenes in Karachi. On August 3, 2011,  MQM and Awami National Party (ANP- the party of the Pashtuns) both expressed their desire for the deployment of army personnel in Karachi to restore peace. A week later, the army also signalled its intent to intervene in the city. On August 9th, the military said in a statement after Army Chief General Ashfaq Kayani met his top generals, "The forum expressed concern over the law and order situation in Karachi and its ramifications or implications on the national economy."

8- The intervention of the army in Karachi is to serve the interests of America.  Whereas, the Pakistani Army should go after the American criminals who are occupying the Muslim country of Afghanistan including the American criminals who penetrated the people's security in Pakistan. The army should not go after their Muslim brothers in Karachi to please America.

The appeal of some local elements of the army being: they are either complicit with the aggression forces of the U.S. and with Kayani, the treacherous, or it is either naivety and lack of political awarenessas a result of the media portraying the army intervention is to maintain security.

9- The Homeland Security is kept by the police and not by the army, which  has to protect the country and the people from the aggression of the United States.

We urge all the sincere movements to prevent military intervention in the cities, and to urge the army to stand in the face of the aggression of the U.S. occupation of Afghanistan, and oppose U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan and against the CIA and FBI spies and anti-security companies.

Maintaining the security is one of the police tasks, and the security is the security of the people not of the American security. This is to provide reassurance for those concerned with the interests of the country not those of the spies for America and the West.

Allah and His Messenger are with the Believers (Mutaqeen), and are against the infidel colonialists, as this is how it should be.

Responding to Cameron's UN Speech: The Caliphate Is the Only System That Will End This Colonial Intervention in the Middle East

London, UK, September 23rd 2011 - In his first speech to the United Nations General Assembly, David Cameron argued for continued colonial interventions across the world but Britain's continued support and arming of brutal dictators in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia and elsewhere exposes the dishonesty of his claims that intervention are for humanitarian reasons .

In May this year, it was revealed that Britain was training Saudi Arabia's National Guard - the elite security force that was used to crush the anti-regime protests in Bahrain earlier this year resulting in the murder of unarmed protesters and the arrest and torture of political opponents.

Commenting on the ‘Cameron doctrine', Taji Mustafa, media representative of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Britain, said: "The hypocrisy and duplicity of the British government is breathtaking. With one face Cameron preaches pious platitudes about intervening for humanitarian reasons, and gives Western powers a pat on the back for intervening against the UK's former ally Gaddafi [who was being sold British weapons as late as February this year]. With the other, the UK continues to support and arm butchers in Bahrain - and elsewhere - and justifies the double standards with vague words like ‘the situation in different countries is different.'"

"Just as Blair outlined his ‘liberal interventionism' in Chicago and the subsequent brutal invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan, yesterday in New York, Cameron outlined his doctrine citing Libya as a justification. He argued for armed interventions to stop governments killing their own people but conveniently failed to mention Bahrain, whose crown prince he welcomed to Downing street in May 2011, and to whom the UK supplied ‘crowd control ammunition'."

"None of us expect an imminent UK sponsored attack on Israel or Zimbabwe, nor is the UK going to stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia and other brutal regimes. This proves that western governments intervene not for some ‘humanitarian' ideal, but to pursue political, economic and ideological agendas."

"The governments of Britain and America talk strongly about democracy and human rights in regions where it suits them, but maintain the status quo when it suits them."

"Much of his speech was focused on North Africa and the Middle East and Cameron again attacked the idea of an Islamic caliphate saying ‘people aren't in Tahrir Square in Cairo and Freedom Square in Libya for an Islamist caliphate' - omitting the fact that nearly a million people gathered in Tahrir Square a few weeks ago calling for Shari'ah."

"Western leaders fear a loss of control, knowing that the only way the region will be truly independent from western colonial interference is when the corrupt and tyrannical regimes they back are replaced by a new system - the Caliphate, which will stand up to western imperialism in all its forms, and look out for the interests of the people."

Hizb ut-Tahrir Organized Protest Meetings Against US Naval Exercise in the Bay of Bengal

Hizb ut-Tahrir organized protest meetings outside various mosques today in Dhaka, Chittagong and Sylhet against US naval exercise in the Bay of Bengal. Last Sunday (19 September, 2011) the US Navy begun its eight day long security exercise termed ‘CARAT' (Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training). The speakers at the protest meetings said that the United States is an enemy state and called upon the Muslims to raise their voice against US domination over the Muslim Army of Bangladesh. America considers Bangladesh's strategic location as vital to her regional plan. This naval exercise and other so-called security cooperation are nothing less than a malicious design by America to subjugate the Muslims so that she can implement her strategic design for the region. Here is what Moriarty said in a cable to Washington on 19 January, 2010: "Increasing Bangladesh's naval capabilities and US Navy-Bangladesh Navy interoperability for joint operations is a key US goal. Improving Bangladesh's maritime domain awareness and interoperability will enhance US ability to secure freedom of navigation in the strategic sea lines of communication within the Indian Ocean and Bay of Bengal."

On top of that we are witnessing how America is relentless in her crusade against the rise of Islam in the world including this region. Thus American presence in the region is part of her design to delay the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate" in Bangladesh, Pakistan or Indonesia where the call for Khilafah "Caliphate" by Hizb ut-Tahrir has gained strong support among the people and the party is close to achieving its goal. America knows very well that the return of the Khilafah "Caliphate" would be the beginning of her end - the end of her crusade against the Muslims and her dominion in the world.

The speakers called upon the Muslims to protest against the government's subservience to America; and to work for the re-establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate". They urged the people of power to refuse to cooperate with the colonialist political and military officials. If the American enemy is not stopped immediately and decisively she will achieve an upper hand and inflict great harm upon the Ummah. Allah (SWT) warned the Muslims,
"Should they gain the upper hand over you, they would behave to you as enemies, and stretch forth their hands and their tongues against you with evil, and they desire that you should disbelieve." [TMQ Surah Al-Mumtahanah: 2]

Up till now hundreds of party members and activists, along with the party's official spokesman, Mohiuddin Ahmed, have been imprisoned under false cases. They are denied bail despite fulfilling all legal requirements.

In Eurasia, America Seeks to Strengthen India and Weaken Pakistan

  • Published in Politics
  •   |

After the collapse of Soviet Union and the end of Afghan war, the geopolitical scenario in Eurasia, especially in South and Central Asia changed. The new Islamic states in Central Asia provided new lucrative economic incentives. Pakistan had become a nuclear power. Its armed forces and intelligence agencies, particularly Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) had become too powerful and influential in the region. ISI's influence was spread in Indian Punjab, Kashmir and all the way to SAARC countries; whilst Afghanistan was its backyard. China was the next emerging threat in Eurasia which needed containment. China has decades old ties with Pakistan and there is favorable public opinion, both in the masses and military. Thus it was difficult for the US to overtly use Pakistan against China.

As part of a new Great Game, America has needed to forge ‘strategic partnership' with India and use Pakistan and India as a block against China. For this to happen it was necessary to put India at ease vis-a-vis her western borders with Pakistan and its engagement in Kashmir. America knew that India could never pose a threat to China if her forces are divided on two fronts. Hence, it has become imperative for the US to weaken Pakistani armed forces by dividing it on two fronts, as well as forcing Pakistan to normalize relationship with India, so that India could focus unilaterally towards China, a country that India has fought in war and has disputes with.

The traitor rulers in the military leadership weakened Pakistan's armed forces by pushing it into war with its foreign policy assets i.e. the Jihadis and Tribals. Also to contain Pakistan's regional power which she exercised through its strong and professional intelligence agencies, it was necessary to clamp down on the ISI and make it inward looking by forcing it to concentrate on Jihadies and sincere politicians. Using 9-11 as a cover, US entered the region and was able to reverse the Kashmir and Afghan policy as well as weaken Pakistan through engineering ‘controlled chaos' using Blackwater, CIA and her agents in the political and military leadership. This is in addition to the traitor rulers leaving the people in neglect as they face a variety of crises that could be averted by a sincere leadership and the Islamic system, such as the electricity crisis, sugar crisis, floods and many others.

The other reason to weaken Pakistan is that Pakistan had become too strong during the time of the Soviet occupation of Afghanistan. The call for Jihad and implementation of Islam was the talk of the town which US calls "radicalization" of the Pakistani society. In such a scenario, it became necessary for the US to block the possibility of emergence of the Islamic State i.e. Khilafah "Caliphate", which would disturb the balance in Eurasia and pose an ideological challenge to US interests in the whole world. For this very purpose, a strong Muslim state with a "radicalized" population was very dangerous of US interest. This not only required secularizing the Pakistani society, but also weakening the state of Pakistan considerably, so that a strong Khilafah "Caliphate" could not emerge from it.

US policy advisor George Friedman alludes to this matter in his book "The Next 100 Years."  He writes, "the goal of these interventions [Iraq and Afghanistan] was never to achieve something-whatever the political rhetoric might have said-but to prevent something. The United States wanted to prevent stability in areas where another power might emerge. Its goal was not to stabilize, but to destabilize. And that explains how the United States responded to the Islamic earthquake-it wanted to prevent a large, powerful Islamic state from emerging". [page 46] He further writes: "the first line of defense against Islamic radicals will be the Muslim states themselves"... "they [the Muslim rulers] will use their national power-their intelligence, security, and military capabilities" to crush these radicals... "An Islamic world in chaos, incapable of uniting, means the United States has achieved its strategic goal"... "So long as the Muslims are fighting each other, the United States has won its war". [page 49]. And this is exactly what the US agents of the likes of Kayani, Pasha and Zardari are doing i.e. crushing anybody calling for Islam and making Muslims fight Muslims.

Before there is further weakening of Pakistan and extension of the American plan, the Muslims must establish the Khilafah "Caliphate". It is the Khilafah "Caliphate" alone that will rally the Muslims on the basis of Islam. It will sever the hands of the American influence in the country. It will close enemy embassies and bases and expel the military and intelligence. It will work for the unification of the Muslim World. It will reach out to non-belligerent Muslim countries in order to gain them to Islam. By doing so, the Khilafah "Caliphate" will ensure the supremacy of Islam and the failure of Kufr. And the practical step is for the sincere officers in Pakistan's armed forces to respond to the demand of the Ummah and grant the Nussrah to its party, Hizb ut-Tahrir, for the establishment of the Khilafah "Caliphate".
