Dear Journalists, Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh has organized this press conference today in order to present the party's statement on the so-called BDR mutiny, the latest developments relating to the issue, and the arrests of party members and activists for exposing the conspiracy to destroy the defence forces of the country.

Today marks 85 years since the colonialist agent Mustafa Kamal abolished the Islamic Khilafah "Caliphate" state. Since then, the Muslim Ummah has endured division, occupation, economic stagnation and foreign domination.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is gathering pace in its political struggle for the establishment of Khilafah "Caliphate". In this regard Hizb ut-Tahrir arranged a very large seminar in Islamabad under the title of "One Ummah, One State...A New Global Power".

Chief Coordinator and Official Spokesman of Hizb ut-Tahrir in Bangladesh Mohiuddin Ahmed in a press release issued today strongly condemned the arrests of 27 party members and activists yesterday (01 March) and today (02 March). He also demanded their immediate release.
