On February 20 2009, corresponding to the 26th of Safar 1430 Hijri, Yilmaz Celik, the official spokesman of Hizb ut Tahrir Wilayah of Turkey, was released after the completion of his sentence. He was imprisoned on charges of membership of Hizb ut Tahrir and working to replace the secular regime in Turkey with the rightly guided Khilafah "Caliphate" state.

On 4th Muharram 1430 Hijri. Hizb ut-Tahrir Wilayah of Turkey issued a leaflet entitled "The Khilafah "Caliphate" Rashida state, and not the rulers who are agents of the Kafir colonliasts, is the sole mechanism to end the massacres of the Jewish entity".
